OMG, what a delight absolutely perfect evening. The boat was incredible. Oldest steam paddleboat still working under steam. The music was beautiful Jazz. Beginning to end it did not cease to amaze us. The food was absolutly incredible. Very informative from learning we were in the deepest part of the Mighty Mississippi River. Staff was exceptional. After 1000's of trips to NOLA & listening to that music from our room all day & night I thought it was a recording but NO there is truly a man up top playing it by hand. We have a new favorite go to inNOLA now. We will definitely be back for another beautiful evening. Worth every single penny it cost. 10☆'s perfect

The dining experience was incredible. Delicious food - the seafood pasta and gumbo was my favorite - the atmosphere was a trip back in time (with air conditioning). I recommend eating dinner first while docked so when the boat takes off, you're free to roam about to see the engine room, the river, and the band on the top floor, which was excellent. Everything about the evening was fantastic. The next time we travel to New Orleans, we will definitely be having dinner on the Natchez again.

I recommend the sightseeing tour in the evening without dinner. We grabbed food before hand at the French Market for more options abd less cost. Boarding was easy and we grabbed good seats on deck right away, before one of us grabbed cocktails. Natchez stays docked for the first hour but we sat at the front of the ship and enjoyed the two hour cruise and the music playing inside the did ing room. Even rain didn't dampen the ride.

This was a buckets list check off. To go on an actual steam driven paddle boat on the Mississippi River. What a great evening. The live music was phenomenal the food was outstanding. The views spectacular. Highly recommend this and will do it again!! Thank you!

Absolutely the best night enjoyed by all. We celebrated my dad's 80th with great food, drinks, and wonderful music ! We enjoyed the sights and danced the night away ! Highly recommend for a fun time.

We had a lovely time! The dinner was delicious. I highly recommend the Cajun creamed spinach. Our server, Milton was wonderful. So friendly. The music was top notch. All in all a great experience.

Great seating in dining hall an upper deck where the band played. Loved the view of the city as the boat cruised. Was expecting more African American or African Decent as waiters and waitresses. The food was good, and on a average of a 7 points. Overall good experience for my husband, friends and I's first experience on the Sreamboat Cdinner cruise in new Orleans.

Boat was fun. Food was good. Drinks were good. My only disappoint was my tickets did not come across in my email. Kept getting messages to go to the app. The other issue is it's advertised as a sunset cruise and we stayed at the dock well after sunset. Wanted to get pictures. I definitely will use Headout again. It was an easy process.

What to bring

Voucher: Bring your mobile voucher and a valid photo ID for verification at the boarding point.

Dress code: Shirts and shoes are a must for all cruises.

Dinner cruise attire: If you're joining the Dinner Jazz Cruise, opt for dressy casual with dress pants, a skirt, or a nice blouse.

Men's attire: For a polished look, men can wear a collared button-down or polo shirt.

Mobility access: The cruise is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible.

What’s not allowed

Smoking: This is a smoke-free cruise, so smoking is not allowed anywhere on the boat, inside or out.

Vessel rotation: Steamboat NATCHEZ and Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will alternate service until March 2026, then resume separate schedules.

Experience consistency: On either vessel, you will enjoy two hours of live jazz, cocktails, and Crescent City charm on a steamboat.

Boarding time: Boarding starts 1 hour before departure, so arrive early for a relaxed check-in.

Bar service: Guests 21 years and over can enjoy beverages from the counter with a valid photo ID that shows their birthdate.
