Ricardo was a very great guide....but there was no line to buy tickets, which we could've easily done by ourselves, in hindsight. The castle is totally worth seeing...amazing views over the city! Lots of peacocks live there as a bonus!

This one hour tour of the castle and grounds was packed with interesting information. I wish it could have been longer! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent storyteller- he researched brought the history to life.

Tour guide Joa was great! Very informative! There was confusion on who our guide was supposed to be, & they didn't show up, so even though it was late he stepped in! I recommend getting a tour of the impressive historical castle, as you wouldn't know what you were seeing or the history. Amazing views overlooking the city & the river.

The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable with information on the castle including the surrounding regional history, which incorporated the earthquake and tsunami. She adapted her talk to our group and answered all questions we had. Most helpful was her re-scheduling our time slot as we were running late. Have already recommended it to friends who have asked about my trip.

Hicimos la visita al Castillo de San Jorge con João como guía y fue una experiencia muy recomendable. Nos explicó la historia del lugar mientras nos contaba muchas anécdotas interesantes sobre el castillo y el barrio de Alfama, lo que hizo el recorrido muy ameno. Se nota que conoce muy bien Lisboa y transmite su pasión por la ciudad. ¡Muy buen guía!

What to bring
