Ken, our host worked tirelessly to ensure that all the guests had a great day. Cruising around Halong Bay was our main interest though lunch, kayaking and snacks were included too. Additional drinks could be bought onboard. The boat was of a good standard with very clean bathrooms. It was peak season so there were a lot of other boats vying for position this in itself was entertaining. Excellent value for money and a day to remember.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy the Halong Bay cruise so much but it was EPIC! Went with my partner and there was a bunch of stuff packed into the day—kayaking, little hike to this cave (btw, wear good shoes, it’s slippery). Our guide, Sam, cracked jokes all day, made us feel super chill. Food was soooo much better than I thought (the prawns, wow). Only thing, the boat bathroom was tiny but manageable. Views are unreal—get your camera ready for that.

Took the Ha Long Bay day trip solo, and it was pretty cool. The bus ride from Hanoi was long-ish, but comfy enough. The cave was the highlight for me, just wish we spent less time at the pearl farm. Met some fun people on the boat. Our guide Henry knew a lot—I kept asking questions, he didn’t mind. Weather was a bit grey, still worth it. Not too crowded for a weekday!

Went with my partner for a day out, and wow—this cruise blew us away. The boat is super clean, like, you could eat off the deck if ur into that. Staff were soooo sweet (shoutout to Kin, who snapped some genuinely good photos for us, no awkward smiles for once). Lunch was buffet style, lots of veggie options too. Weather was a bit cloudy but honestly, the vibe on the top deck with the chilly breeze was EPIC! Only thing, bring a jacket, gets windy later. Would def do again.

Family trip with two kids (ages 8 and 13). The crew was so sweet with the kids—let them steer the boat for a sec (not kidding). The caves were cool, but bring a flashlight if you’ve got one. Buffet lunch was HUGE, even had veggie stuff for my daughter. Bit rushed at the end but we made it back in time for the hotel shuttle. Would totally do again.
