Getting started

Present your official QR-coded Blue Lagoon ticket, sent to you before your visit, at the reception desk as you arrive at the geothermal spa. After check-in, you collect your fresh towel and head to the changing facilities before stepping out to the milky-blue waters nestled in the surrounding lava field. From here, you explore the lagoon and spa areas at your own pace.

Set within an ancient lava field, the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa features mineral-rich, milky-blue waters naturally enriched with silica and algae. Your visit is self-guided, so you decide how long to spend soaking, moving between the lagoon, in-water experiences, and spa facilities.

• Immerse yourself in the Blue Lagoon's warm, milky-blue waters and experience the mineral-rich blend of silica and algae that is known for its skin-rejuvenating properties and volcanic serenity.
• Visit the in-water Mask Bar for your included silica mud mask, following the "Silica Ritual" that many guests use as a deep-cleansing treatment during their soak.
• Use the fresh towel provided during your visit so you can move comfortably between the lagoon, saunas, steam rooms, and indoor areas without bringing your own.
• Enjoy one non-alcoholic drink at the in-water bar, choosing when to redeem it so you can sip without ever leaving the warmth of the lagoon.
• Access the spa facilities including saunas, steam rooms, and the cascading waterfall, where many guests alternate between hot, steamy spaces and the powerful water flow for a contrasting thermal experience.
• Choose a ticket with round-trip transfers if you prefer transport arranged for you, with optional pickup from Reykjavik or Keflavik International Airport and a latest Blue Lagoon departure of 4:00 PM for airport drop-off.
• Select a Premium Package if you want use of a bathrobe during your visit, which can make transitions between the lagoon, Mask Bar, and relaxation areas more comfortable.
• With the Premium Package, receive one additional drink, allowing you to enjoy a second refreshment during your time at the in-water bar.
• Premium Package guests also get two additional masks of their choice, letting them try different mask combinations beyond the included silica mud mask during their in-water skincare routine.
• Take home a silica mud mask 10ml if you choose the Premium Package, so you can extend a small part of the Blue Lagoon skincare experience after your visit.

Wrapping up

When your visit ends, you return through the changing facilities and exit via reception, while guests who selected round-trip transfers rejoin their transport back to Reykjavik or Keflavik International Airport according to the scheduled departure time.
