Wow, what a beautiful palace! This was simply stunning and a must-see for visitors to Abu Dhabi. The check-in and shuttle processes were seamless, parking was easy, and then we were able to roam and take photos to our heart's content. The different exhbitis were informative, and we really enjoyed the offerings at the onsite cafe. The palace was never too busy with other visitors, making it a stress-free visit. And, the tickets are very reasonably-priced. A favorite!

The Qasar Watan Palace is absolutely unforgettable! From the mesmerizing architecture to the opulent interiors and the endless photo-worthy views, it's all incredible. But the 7 o'clock light show? It completely won me over! The projections and sound were perfect, creating a magical atmosphere that had the entire crowd in awe. It truly stole the heart of everyone present!

Despite its grandeur, everything is meticulously crafted, from the doors to the immense chandeliers. Along with the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, Qsar Al Watan should be part of your itinerary in the UAE.

Gain access to the Qasr Al Watan, a cultural landmark in Abu Dhabi, and admire its architecture – a testimony of Arabian craftsmanship.

Visiting Qasr Al Watan was truly one of the highlights of my time in Abu Dhabi. The palace is absolutely stunning—grand, elegant, and immaculately maintained. What stood out most was the exceptional display of Islamic historical texts and manuscripts, presented in a way that is both educational and deeply inspiring. The attention to detail in showcasing history, knowledge, and governance is remarkable. The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. They were happy to guide visitors and answer questions, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the visit. Another pleasant surprise was that it was not overly crowded, allowing us to explore the palace at a relaxed pace and truly appreciate its architecture, exhibits, and peaceful atmosphere. Overall, Qasr Al Watan is not just a beautiful palace but a meaningful cultural and intellectual experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi.

The venue is breathtaking and speaks volumes about the wealth and power that the UAE and its government has developed in the modern era and its commitment to make it sustainable and accessible to its citizens and supporters. The light show was also fascinating and inspiring. The overall logistics and support to visitors was one of a kind. A few suggestions: the lights left on in the seating area outside the palace during the light show are unnecessary; we visited on a day that was not very crowded, and still many people had to find their way to sit on the floor or stay standing during the show, which remains inconvenient for such as high-profile venue - either additional steps (perhaps coming out of the ground just for the show) will go a long way for everyone, and it shows that our UAE leaders also care about their citizens and visitors.

An architectural marvel

Nestled in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan is a presidential palace that was recently opened to the public. One of the finest examples of Arabic architecture and craftsmanship, the palace's design signifies its heritage and its future vision. The palace has its own library with books on a wide range of subjects including archaeology, history, heritage, memoirs, biographies, human and social sciences, statistics, administration, culture, literature, arts, etc. It also has its own gift shops; one at the Visitors Center and the other at the palace building. One of the major attractions of the palace is its light and sound show, which depicts the history and growth of the UAE as a nation. This show has been divided into three acts: past, present, and future. Also get a chance to hold a falcon, take some pictures with them, and learn more about their nature and behavior at a falcon experience in front of the palace's main door.

What to bring

It's recommended to wear respectful clothing when in the palace. Knees and shoulders should be covered.

What's not allowed

Consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the great hall or exhibition rooms.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Prohibited items include penknives or knives of any kind, scissors, long umbrellas, paints/aerosols, bicycles, folding bikes, roller-skates or skateboards, large bags that can’t fit through airport-style security scanners, and CS gas (tear gas) or any weapon.

Re-entry is not permitted.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Wheelchairs are available for rent free of charge and strollers can be rented for AED 20.

The Palace in Motion show starts at 7:45pm, with the last entry at 7:15pm.

The falcon experience will be held in front of the palace's main gate from 22 Jan to Mar 1, 2025.

Please note that the falcon experience will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10am, 11:15am, 2pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm. However, during the first week, sessions will take place only on Wednesday and Friday before transitioning to the regular schedule.
