Qasr Al Watan is a breathtaking place, with all of its exceptional architecture and luxurious gardens. I went there after finishing an educational program in Abu Dhabi, and it easily became one of the best parts of my 2-week trip. I went there alone, but I definitely imagine the experience will be much more amazing than it already is with a group of friends. I got to see the international gifts exhibition and have a look at halls that have reached the top level of building beauty and skill, and the space is so spacious that you don't get affected by the number of visitors. The ticket booking experience through Headout was very smooth and I got my ticket immediately. No bugs, no delays, no weird errors; just a simple booking and great destination.

It was a great experience booking tickets through Headout for my parents’ visit to Qasr Al Watan. The entire booking process was very smooth, quick, and extremely convenient, which made planning their trip stress-free for me. I was able to book everything easily in advance without any confusion. Bought tickets online Sunday morning, arrived just before noon, a stream of visitors arriving, tickets scanned and security check was fast moving, courteous and efficient. The Palace is stunning, lots of detail, beautiful soothing colours. Really enjoyed the Gift Room when we came in January 2025. Spent more time looking at them this time to see who have what! Absolutely awesome looking up at the domes and chandeliers. In reality there are lots of people inside but it didn't feel crowded due to the spacious building. We got to see everything without being blocked or having to wait.

Driving towards Qasr Al Watan is already exciting, and confusing. After getting out of the taxi, I admired the beautiful street lamps, the spacial area around the gates. The efficient crowd control made it easy to step into the shuttle to the palace. The joy increases while approaching the palace, passing wonderful fountain cascades. Finally entering the palace enjoying the golden glow inside, no crowd, but peace. And places to rest a little just let it all in.

Smooth entry. No waiting time. Staff very efficient and courteous. The Palace is beautifully kept. Many interesting explanations and clear directions to the various sections. Interesting addition the live performance of the guards in the main rotunda.

A truly splendid palace where one can not only appreciate the architecture and decoration but also learn about hitory and culture. The ticket also includes the light show Palace Motion which starts after sunset. It was magical !

Amazing visit, well organized and full of extraordinary experiences. The entry process was smooth and quick. During the visit you can see how beautiful is the palace and see the show from the guards.

An architectural marvel

Nestled in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan is a presidential palace that was recently opened to the public. One of the finest examples of Arabic architecture and craftsmanship, the palace's design signifies its heritage and its future vision. The palace has its own library with books on a wide range of subjects including archaeology, history, heritage, memoirs, biographies, human and social sciences, statistics, administration, culture, literature, arts, etc. It also has its own gift shops; one at the Visitors Center and the other at the palace building. One of the major attractions of the palace is its light and sound show, which depicts the history and growth of the UAE as a nation. This show has been divided into three acts: past, present, and future. Also get a chance to hold a falcon, take some pictures with them, and learn more about their nature and behavior at a falcon experience in front of the palace's main door.

It's recommended to wear respectful clothing when in the palace. Knees and shoulders should be covered.

What's not allowed

Consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the great hall or exhibition rooms.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Prohibited items include penknives or knives of any kind, scissors, long umbrellas, paints/aerosols, bicycles, folding bikes, roller-skates or skateboards, large bags that can’t fit through airport-style security scanners, and CS gas (tear gas) or any weapon.

Re-entry is not permitted.

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Wheelchairs are available for rent free of charge and strollers can be rented for AED 20.

The Palace in Motion show starts at 7:45pm, with the last entry at 7:15pm.

The falcon experience will be held in front of the palace's main gate from 22 Jan to Mar 1, 2025.

Please note that the falcon experience will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10am, 11:15am, 2pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm. However, during the first week, sessions will take place only on Wednesday and Friday before transitioning to the regular schedule.
