Qasr Al Watan was magnificent and awe inspiring. There is a sense of peace there. The Presidential gifts, calligraphy and books, were amazing. The design and artisanship are incredible. We loved the Palace in Motion light show, it was exceptional, breathtaking, and definitely worth seeing for the extra 25 AED. The National Aquarium is absolutely phenomenal, it's a must see. We are going to buy an annual pass. It's not just an aquarium - there are reptiles (snakes, frogs, chameleons etc), birds, turtles and tortoises ... it's the best aquarium we have experienced. The coral habitats in the exhibits are mind blowing as well. We were in a state of wonderment the entire time.

Wir hatten zwei Stunden für den Besuch des Sultanspalastes eingeplant, sind aber dann vier Stunden geblieben. So viel Schönheit, Harmonie und Kunstvolles haben wir bisher sonst noch nirgends gefunden. Der Palast ist wundervoll und hat all unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen.

Planning of entry is meticulous. So touching considering physically challenged . Well chairs are provided. Then assisted by drivers to fold them and then providing them again. Inside the palace the name plates, directions, a short introduction and briefing of the photographs as well as the events ensures the visitor belonging and ensuring a rewarding experience

Die Besichtigung des Präsidentenpalasts in Abu Dhabi war besonders beeindruckend, weil sie weit über eine klassische Sehenswürdigkeit hinausging. Schon beim Betreten fällt die enorme Größe und architektonische Präzision auf: alles wirkt bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht, symmetrisch und von außergewöhnlicher Eleganz. Der Einsatz von Marmor, Goldakzenten und kunstvollen Mustern vermittelt ein starkes Gefühl von Reichtum, ohne dabei überladen zu wirken. Besonders war auch die Atmosphäre im Inneren. Trotz der monumentalen Dimensionen strahlt der Palast Ruhe und Würde aus. Die großen Hallen und Kuppeln vermitteln eindrucksvoll, welche Bedeutung Tradition, Gastfreundschaft und Staatsführung in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten haben. Die Ausstellungen und Informationen gaben zudem spannende Einblicke in Geschichte, Politik und kulturelle Werte des Landes, was den Besuch nicht nur visuell, sondern auch inhaltlich bereichernd machte. Insgesamt war die Besichtigung ein einzigartiges Erlebnis, weil sie Architektur, Kultur und politische Symbolik miteinander verbindet. Man verlässt den Palast mit einem tieferen Verständnis für das Land und einem bleibenden Eindruck von Größe, Stolz und kultureller Identität.

La visite en famille du palais présidentiel d’Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, impressionne d’abord par sa démesure architecturale et ses vastes halls majestueux. Au-delà du faste, le palais révèle une richesse intellectuelle à travers ses bibliothèques, manuscrits et objets précieux, témoins d’histoire et de savoir. En fin de journée, la lumière dorée transforme les marbres et les dômes, créant une atmosphère poétique et apaisante. I had purchased my ticket on line as it was advertised as skip the line. That was misleading as I stood in a slow moving line with hundreds of others for more than an hour. Once I finally made it through security and ticket checking things moved effectively as we were bused to the square in front of the palace. After that crowded queue I thought the palace would be over crowded as well. Not true. The massive grandiose palace barely felt crowded at all. It is elegant beautiful stunning and well worth seeing. It is a showcase for Abu Dhabi to welcome international leaders from all over the world. I was so impressed and in awe.

An architectural marvel

Nestled in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan is a presidential palace that was recently opened to the public. One of the finest examples of Arabic architecture and craftsmanship, the palace's design signifies its heritage and its future vision. The palace has its own library with books on a wide range of subjects including archaeology, history, heritage, memoirs, biographies, human and social sciences, statistics, administration, culture, literature, arts, etc. It also has its own gift shops; one at the Visitors Center and the other at the palace building. One of the major attractions of the palace is its light and sound show, which depicts the history and growth of the UAE as a nation. This show has been divided into three acts: past, present, and future. Also get a chance to hold a falcon, take some pictures with them, and learn more about their nature and behavior at a falcon experience in front of the palace's main door.

It's recommended to wear respectful clothing when in the palace. Knees and shoulders should be covered.

What's not allowed

Consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the great hall or exhibition rooms.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Prohibited items include penknives or knives of any kind, scissors, long umbrellas, paints/aerosols, bicycles, folding bikes, roller-skates or skateboards, large bags that can’t fit through airport-style security scanners, and CS gas (tear gas) or any weapon.

Re-entry is not permitted.

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Wheelchairs are available for rent free of charge and strollers can be rented for AED 20.

The Palace in Motion show starts at 7:45pm, with the last entry at 7:15pm.

The falcon experience will be held in front of the palace's main gate from 22 Jan to Mar 1, 2025.

Please note that the falcon experience will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10am, 11:15am, 2pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm. However, during the first week, sessions will take place only on Wednesday and Friday before transitioning to the regular schedule.
