This was my first opera ever. It was a fabulous experience in a beautiful venue. We walked into the opera house to see people dining, enjoying beverages and shopping. The staff was friendly, gave excellent directions and we were able to find our way so easily. Our seats were great!! I really liked how there were monitors on each side of the stage as well as subtitles above for the balcony. Exiting the theater was easy as it is spacious enough for a crowd to move about.

The theatre design very unique and offered good views of the actors and orchestra. If the performers were outfitted with mic's it would have elevated the performance to another experience level we were seated furthest from the stage. . We caught an Urber back to our accommodation. We were uncertain of the precise address and location for our driver to pick us up. A few signs indicating pick up point with location description would have been an immense help.

The story

Nicely staged production and we could hear well even way up top. Very helpful staff! I had a coughing fit unexpectedly and three kind staff took care of me. One lead me out, another got me water to drink and a third found me a place to sit so I wouldn't disturb others.

I had not downloaded my ticket, I thought the email you sent me was a ticket. So there was a problem at the gate..... I had to go and queue with the ticket office...

It was a great performance. It was my first time watching a life oprera & it happened to be in Sydney. Nice memory to bring back home.

Really unusual take on a very old story, very much enjoyed it. We are from the UK and Sydney Opera house was on the bucket list.
