Encounter the Marine Life Up Close
The Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan, offers an immersive experience with a vast tank housing various marine life, including whale sharks, manta rays, and fish, which can be seen from the water's surface to approximately 700m deep. The immense Kuroshio Sea is the main tank and holds 7,500 cubic meters of seawater, making it one of the world's largest.
Learn through Interactive Exhibits
Moving through the aquarium, encounter a range of exhibits showcasing different types of marine life. The coral sea exhibit features vibrant coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, and the sea turtle pool lets you observe endangered sea turtles up close. You can even touch and learn about sea creatures like starfish and sea cucumbers here. The deep sea exhibit provides a glimpse into the mysterious world of ocean depths, with displays of unique and mesmerizing deep-sea creatures, including luminous jellyfish, bizarre-looking deep-sea fish, and elusive giant isopods.
