Your evening begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Rovaniemi. Meet your owner-host and get a briefing on the night’s aurora hunt, including live cloud maps, solar activity, and the science behind the Northern Lights.

What to expect

Northern Lights chasing & photography

Head out in search of the clearest skies rather than a fixed campsite. Your route is planned in real time based on weather and solar activity, taking you to the best available viewing locations across Lapland and, when conditions allow, into Sweden.

What to bring

Bring your camera or smartphone if you wish to take your own photos, although tripods and cameras are available upon request.

Dress in warm layers suitable for Arctic temperatures, but note that winter overalls are not required as the van is kept warm throughout the tour.
