Such a good trip, I can't recommend it enough. Very easy to get to the starter funicular and then the cable cars. Loved the architecture of the stations. The flexibility of the all day ticket really worked too. Just amazing at the top, and lived spending time in the lower level on the deckchairs.

We had only a short time in Innsbruck so thought we'd make the most of it by taking the funicular and cable car to the top of Innsbruck. It was an incredible experience. The views were breathtaking. Never had we been anywhere so remote and yet so accessible than the Top of Innsbruck.

Just awesome! Really easy to use. Exciting ride on the cable car. Absolutely stunning views from the top of Innsbruck. Seegrube served excellent beers and food. Deck chairs were nice touch for photographs. We enjoyed the whole trip and would go again without hesitation.

I really enjoy such expansive viewpoints as the Top of Innsbruck. Beautiful views, beautiful mountains, and I happened to have beautiful weather. The entire infrastructure and the cable car operate very efficiently. I really enjoyed it 🙂

Buying the tickets was easy, fast and comfortable. The tickets came within a minute and all tickets are comfortable and neat above each other as a QR-Code. Three Codes but all together so no switching between different ticket or mails or whatever. Very convenient! Even with stroller everything was comfortable to reach. One bad thing is that other people like to use the cable car highlited for elderly and stroller. Stuff are very friendly and helpful to open the doors and let those pass the gates. Stuff are always joyful. For parents who don't do this often it is good to bring and have drinks ready for the kids if going up or down so they can relieve pressure from the ears. I'm not sure if drinks and food are allowed in the cable cars but in those times the stuff didn't mind and shouldn't. Over all a very nice experience. One small details that wasn't so nice is the price for adults. Maybe it's fair for those who make the price. For me as a customer it seems a bit much. Very big plus on the other hand are the prices for kids!! Perhaps the price for the adult make it even with those of the kids.

Your journey starts at the heart of Innsbruck's old town with the unique Nordkette Funicular. Within just 30 minutes travel from the city to the Top of Innsbruck with the funicular and two panorama gondolas. Admire the elegant contrast between modern stations of the Nordkette funicular and the rugged mountainous landscape. As the bustle of the city gives way to the tranquility of the mountains, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the untouched, pristine vistas of Tyrol!

For an elevated experience above Innsbruck's cityscape, consider the optional upgrade to journey from the city center to the Seegrube. Perched high above the rooftops, the Restaurant Seegrube offers a delectable selection of traditional Tyrolean cuisine, accompanied by awe-inspiring vistas of the city below. You can also upgrade and opt-in for access to the Alpine Zoo. Finally, choose to save some money by selecting the happy hour tickets which give you a 20% discount if you enter before 9:30am or after 3:30pm.

Important Information

The Hungerburg Funicular is accessible for wheelchair, pram, and stroller users.

Pets and guide dogs are allowed to tag along. However, they must wear a muzzle or must remain in a suitable transport box during the cable car rides and will not be transported without.

Reduced-price parking is available at the Congress Garage (Rennweg 3, 6020 Innsbruck) if you show your ticket and parking ticket at the congress cash desk (open daily from 8am to 6pm).
