Very well produced Musical by Sting. It was quite emotional for me as I experienced the sadness of lifetime jobs closing in the 1970's downturn in my home town in England. I got by searching and getting employment overseas in a half dozen countries around the world. And am so thankful for those opportunities that came my way. Maybe Sting can put something back into his home town like investing in a museum there or some business or venture where local people can find work. My wife and I were fortunate to see Sting perform in concert in 1994 and 2003 in Kuala Lumper and Singapore. Plus we had a glimpse of him and his wife after they got married in an old 12th century church in Wiltshire, England. I love to see Sting come back to Brisbane with his band to perform his much loved back catalogue of songs. Play on Sting. Baz Brisbane

I have to admit, this was a remarkable and really solid production: I couldn't quite tell for most of the production whether that was a real ship fuselage on the stage, haha, and the effects, crane-operation and such were truly excellent in evoking the sense of time and place. Characters were archetypal and solid, and the music got better as the show went on... I admit I even cried towards the end, as all the emotion and music and such comes to a head. I'd easily recommend it to anyone: we really need more venues and production companies to take chances on immersive and excellent new musicals like this, so we're not just watching Les Miserables, RENT and "Shakespeare but it's contemporary, horny and gay" on loop the rest of our lives.

We had many connections to this show. My father was a shipbuilder at Swan Hunter at Walsend shipyard before the war. My grandfather's were all coal miners that lost their jobs when Maggie closed the coal mines and shipyards and were involved with the Miner's strike. My cousin taught with Sting before his music career. The visuals were superb and music and voices poignant and so emotional. Magnificent show.

Unbelievable atmosphere - I have a walking stick and am very unsteady, 80 years old, however access in The beautiful Theatre was wonderful! Staff very caring and helpful and Show itself was wonderfully good. Sting was all I expected and cast were all great! Last year I swam with "whale sharks" this year I saw Sting, next year who knows....

With tears running down my face it gave a reflection on my own self of identity Well done to all the cast and thank you Sting Steve

The stage production and effects were spectacular, music was excellent, cast were very professional, riveting ennertainment the whole of the show. Especially appreciated the word prompts, like Karoake so the songs and story were understandable
