What a great night out! This was such a great show that drew you right in to the storyline with so many talented vocalists completely immersed in character........some of the nicest vocals we've heard in years both solo & multilayered harmonies

We loved the entire performance. Wasn't like the normsl musical but had Brecht and Kurt Weil aspects with all the new technology. Amazing acting with Sting 's handwriting all over the show. Also loved the new theatre Glasshouse

I thought that the venue was excellent- very smart & modern. The product the 'Last Ship was better than expected it was a great story!! The venue was full & everyone seemed to enjoy this production.

A great performance and a lovely venue. My only feedback is that on the website you should mention to pre-book your parking we did and everything went very smoothly. I can't wait to come up to Brisbane and enjoy more performances.

Written, composed and starring international music icon Sting, THE LAST SHIP arrives in Brisbane for its Southern Hemisphere debut at QPAC’s Glasshouse Theatre in 2026.

Inspired by Sting’s childhood in Wallsend in the United Kingdom, THE LAST SHIP tells the story of a community facing the disappearance of their shipyard.

Sting takes on the leading role of Jackie White, bringing personal depth and a moving tribute to the people and place that shaped him.

Expect a sweeping score of raw folk, rousing choirs, and tender ballads with favorites like Island of Souls, All This Time, and When We Dance.

The story

Set in the shipbuilding town of Wallsend in the United Kingdom, THE LAST SHIP tells the story of a close-knit community facing the closure of their local shipyard, with foreman Jackie White leading the workers in a final act of defiance to build one last ship, intertwining themes of love, loss, and community.
