What to bring

• Ticket voucher: Display your mobile voucher with a valid photo ID at the Montserrat Information Office for validation.

• Photo ID: Bring a valid photo ID that matches the name on your booking.

• Phone and earphones: Bring your phone and earphones to use the downloadable audio guide.

What's not allowed

• Dress code: Dress appropriately for a religious site, covering shoulders and wearing respectful clothing.

• Photography etiquette: Only take photos inside the basilica without flash and only when no service is taking place.

• Throne of Our Lady photos: Avoid taking photos at the Throne of Our Lady so you do not slow the queue or disturb others.

• Worship areas during services: Do not enter worship areas during services unless you are attending the service.

Accessibility

Additional information

• Timed access: Your selected time slot is only for visiting the Black Madonna, so you can see other areas before or after.

• Area access: You can visit the Museum of Montserrat and Espai Audiovisual around your Black Madonna time, within their opening hours.

• Tabernacle closure: The Tabernacle of Our Lady may close during religious services.

• Mass-only access: Between 10:30am and 12pm, Basilica access is reserved for visitors attending Conventual Mass.

• Escolania priority: From Monday to Friday, 12:15pm to 1:15pm, Basilica access is reserved for visitors with an Escolania reservation.

• Escolania time: If you select the Escolania Choir option, your performance is at 1pm and you must arrive 15 minutes early.

• Chapel visit with choir: If you select the Choir option, you must visit the Chapel of Our Lady after 3:30pm.

• Choir schedule: Choir performance times can change according to religious celebrations and the school calendar.

• FGC train timing: If you select the Train + Rack Railway option, FGC trains from Barcelona-Pl. Espanya start at 8:26am.

• Travel planning: The time slot you choose is for the Black Madonna, so plan to catch a train at least 1.5 to 2 hours earlier.

What to bring

• Booking confirmation: Keep your booking confirmation or digital ticket ready to validate at the Aeri de Montserrat station.

• Photo ID: Carry a valid photo ID to present with your voucher if requested.

What's not allowed

• Unrestrained pets: Ensure dogs and other permitted animals are on a lead and wear a muzzle if you bring them on the cable car.

Accessibility

• Wheelchair access: The cable car facilities are not currently adapted for wheelchair users.

• Strollers: You can bring strollers, but you may need to fold them and use stairs at the station.

Additional information

• Correct direction: Check if you need an uphill, downhill or round-trip ticket before travel so you do not need to buy another.

• Journey duration: The cable car ride takes about 5 minutes, with departures roughly every 15 minutes.

• Ticket validity: One-way tickets are valid throughout your selected day and round-trip returns are valid within 3 days of first use.

• Attraction access: Your cable car ticket covers the ride only and does not include entry to the Basilica or Montserrat Museum.

• Last departures: The last uphill car leaves 15 minutes before closing and the last downhill car leaves at closing time.

• Parking: Free parking is available at the lower station, subject to availability, with extra parking for coaches and caravans.

• Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

• Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
