Es war toll, so unabhängig durch das Städtchen zu laufen und dabei alles Wissenswerte zu erfahren. Wir hatten das zum ersten Mal auf diese Art und Weise gemacht und sind jetzt schon Feuer und Flamme für unsere nächste Tour! Perfekt, wenn man die Tour nicht mit einer großen Gruppe, sondern z. B. nur mit der Familie erleben will. Die Shuttlebusse waren leider sowohl auf dem Hin- als auch auf dem Rückweg so voll und so große Warteschlangen an den Haltestellen, dass wir beide Wege lieber zu Fuß zurückgelegt haben - war dann die gleiche Zeit, eher weniger. Mont St. Michel ist ein echtes Highlight, aber auch sehr überlaufen. Am besten so früh wie möglich starten.

Easy to use app with notifications and easy use of tickets on phone Wonderful place to explore although lots of steps!! Lots of cafes restaurants creperies and ice cream parlours too! Plenty of toilets and souvenir shops

Tickets einen Tag im Voraus gekauft, vorbei an der Schlange für die Tagestickets und nach Vorlage auf dem Handy waren wir schon im Castle. In Zukunft nur noch so 😉

Alles hat bestens funktioniert. Wir sind einfach den beschilderten Weg entlang gelaufen und mussten nicht warten. Hatten den unbegrenzten Einlass. Die vielen Stufen merkt man kaum. Ein super tolles Erlebnis. Jederzeit einen Besuch wert.

The Abbey in all its glory

Wander around the lovely alleyways, taking in the majestic walls and Gothic spires as you ascend to the Abbey. Discover this remarkable 8th-century edifice in the Gothic style. This magnificent building, which is dedicated to the archangel Saint Michel, contains cloisters surrounded by arched pathways, galleries held up by an infinite series of columns, and an exquisite refectory where monks once gathered for their quiet meals. Spend some time in the lovely gardens, which provide breathtaking views of the bay and excellent photo opportunities.

What to bring

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes as there is lots of walking and to carry warm clothing in the winter.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind that pets, carrier bags, knives, and scooters are not allowed on this experience.

The abbey does not offer baggage storage, and access is not allowed for suitcases or large hiking bags. Only small bags (smaller than cabin size) are permitted.

Accessibility

The site is challenging for visitors with reduced mobility, but assistance devices and adapted tour options are available. However, despite these accommodations, some areas may still be difficult to access.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed inside the monument.

Please note that the attraction may be crowded, so expect a considerable wait time of approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Please note that admission is free during the following days: European Heritage Days on the third weekend of September and every first Sunday of the month from November to March.

Some outdoor areas may be closed in case of bad weather conditions.

'The Abbey Nights' show runs from Monday to Saturday, from 7:30pm until midnight, from July 5 to August 31.

Please note that the last admission to the Abbey is 1 hour before closing time.
