La verdad como monasterio es precioso, pero a gusto personal en comparación a otros lugares que visite no me gustó tanto, lo encontré monótono, y todo el rato lo mismo, sin embargo para alguien que disfruta ir a estos lugares se llevarán una buena impresión.

Nous avons observé l'affluence pour les visites et le créneau choisi, (11h30-12h00) a permis de passer sans attente. Malgré les travaux à l'extérieur, l'intérieur du monastère et de l'église sont toujours impressionnants. Venus pour la seconde fois, nous sommes toujours attirés par ce monument de Lisbonne et sa quiétude. L'ibtention des billets préalablement sur le site est un réel plus.

There was a long line to enter the monastery but it went by quickly. We waited about 15 minutes. The view to the cloister was spectacular. It was definitely worth the visit. We wish there was a more clear sign that the visit to the church was a separate line and it was free. Luckily we didn't wait very long in the queue.

Buying the ticket was easy and efficient. The instructions on where to go to enter or clear and concise. The monastery is is huge, an overwhelming when you first see it. The carvings and details in each corridor and rooms is exquisite. I highly recommend going to this monastery!

What's not allowed

You need an Android (version 5.0+) or iOS smartphone for the audio tour at the monastery. It won't work on Windows Phones, older iPhones/iPads/iPods.

Strict dress code: Please note that off-shoulder tops, dresses, and knee-high shorts are not recommended.

Keep in mind that food & beverages and large bags or backpacks are not allowed on this experience.

Visitors are not allowed to take photographs in some parts of the monastery.

There is medium accessibility for guests with reduced mobility.

The lower level has wheelchair access, though some sections are cobblestoned.

Entry to the church is free for residents of Portugal on Sundays and public holidays.

The Jerónimos Monastery remains closed on Monday, January 1, Easter Sunday, May 1, and December 25.

The Monastery is closed between 9:30am and 1pm on October 24th and December 5th.
