This tour will give you a unique insight into Iceland´s December festive traditions, starting with a walk in Reykjavik followed by the wonderful Golden Circle.
Reykjavik Christmas Walk
Wandering through the beautifully decorated city set against the darkness of the morning will get you into the Christmas mood. Twinkling Christmas lights, hidden pearls in downtown Reykjavík, little tastes here and there where culinary secrets will be revealed along with some quaint traditions. At the end of the tour everyone will receive a little Christmas present, a souvenir from Iceland to bring back home. The tour ends by a 4 star boutique hotel where you will be picked up to join our afternoon Golden Circle tour.
Golden Circle Tour
In one afternoon you visit the historical and geological wonder Thingvellir National Park, the world-famous Geysir geothermal area with spouting springs and the nearby Gullfoss waterfall, queen of Icelandic waterfalls.
Get in a pre-Christmas mood inside and outside the city landmarks!
What to bring
- Dress warmly and wear sturdy footwear, as the experience includes outdoor walking in winter conditions.

- Food and drinks are not included in the tour and should not be brought unless specified otherwise.

- The meeting point is at 8:45 am in front of the Elding sales office by Reykjavík harbour.
- The tour starts at 9:00 am and punctuality is important.
- The walking tour portion lasts about 3 hours.
- The tour operates only on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in December.
