Waitress

Based on the 2007 movie, Waitress became a Broadway hit, having been nominated several times for the Tony Award. Waitress, the musical, completes its third year on Broadway. It will be the first time that a musical with an all-female creative team will feature on the West End - and the message about women's empowerment also hits the stage. The chemistry between the main characters is exciting and helps to understand the friendship between women.

After debuting on Broadway in 2016, the musical was nominated for 4 Tony Awards, 6 Drama Desk Awards and 4 Outer Critics' Circle Awards. The orchestration is signed by six times Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles and has won the hearts of critics and audiences. Her dynamic songs and idyllic lyrics impact anyone who wants to get out of the monotony of daily life routine. The confluence of pop-rock ballads and the choir reaches perfection. Bareilles won a nomination for Tony in her debut and Waitress was nominated in the Best Musical category. The Story

Jenna, a baker from a small town, dreams of having a bigger life than the one she leads. Jenna finds no happiness in her marriage due to an abusive relationship. To make matters worse, she discovers that she is pregnant after a night of drinking with her husband Earl. During a medical examination, Jenna meets the handsome Dr. Jim Pomatter, filling in for her regular doctor. Soon, the news of her pregnancy spreads, but Jenna doesn't seem enthusiastic at all.

Jenna meets Dr. Pomatter at a bus stop at the end of the day and tells him about her wedding. She returns home happy to know that Earl will be out drinking with friends, but to her surprise, he is home. Earl says he has been fired and furiously tells her that she has to earn more money to support them. He almost becomes violent but calms down when he finds out his wife is pregnant..

Jenna learns about a baking contest that will be held in a nearby county and offers a grand prize. After having won the competition she can leave her husband and start over. Has Jenna found her chance to happiness?
