My visit to the London Eye was fantastic! The service from the Headout team was impeccable, ensuring a smooth and quick entry that made everything stress-free. The panoramic view of London in the clear midday light was absolutely breathtaking and offered the perfect perspective of the city. The highlight for our family was sharing that moment together in the capsule; watching my children’s faces light up with excitement as they spotted famous landmarks like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from high above made it an unforgettable experience for all of us. Visiting the London Eye with my son was a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. The whole process was very well organised, and although we expected long queues, the waiting time was actually quite reasonable and moved along smoothly. Once on board, the atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and pleasant, giving us plenty of time to take in the incredible views across London. Seeing the city from that height was impressive, especially being able to point out famous landmarks together. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout the visit, which made the experience even better. Everything felt safe, clean, and professionally managed. It was a lovely way to spend time together and create some great memories. I would definitely recommend the London Eye to families or anyone visiting London for the first time, as it offers a unique and memorable perspective of the city.

From the very first moment I arrived in London, I felt the unique energy of this incredible city. During my sightseeing tour, I visited many famous landmarks, admired the historic architecture, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere everywhere around me. The highlight of the whole trip was definitely the London Eye. The panoramic view from the top was breathtaking, especially with the beautiful sunset over the River Thames. I could see the entire city from above, which made the experience unforgettable. Everything was perfectly organized, the people were friendly, and the overall experience was fantastic. Getting started

Begin at either the London Eye (South Bank, near the main entrance) or the IFS Cloud Cable Car (IFS Royal Victoria Docks or IFS Greenwich Peninsula). Show your mobile ticket for validation and follow staff instructions; a brief security check applies at the London Eye.

What to expect

IFS Cloud Cable Car

The UK’s only urban cable car links Greenwich Peninsula with the Royal Docks, offering a unique aerial journey over the Thames.

Features:

Skyline vantage points: Spot Canary Wharf, The Shard, and St Paul’s Cathedral from 90m above the river—an elevated perspective you won’t get elsewhere.

Flexible round trip: Start at either the IFS Royal Victoria Docks or IFS Greenwich Peninsula terminals and return at your convenience, or disembark to explore both sides of the Thames.

Cable car history: Visit the London Cable Car Experience near IFS Greenwich Peninsula to learn about the system’s story.

London Eye

Since 2000, the London Eye has defined the city’s skyline as one of the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheels.

Features:

30-min rotation: Glide in a climate-controlled pod for half an hour, taking in uninterrupted 360° views from 135m high.

Landmark spotting: See the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and, on clear days, even Windsor Castle from your pod.

What’s not allowed

IFS Cloud Cable Car

E-scooters, e-bikes and e-unicycles are prohibited on the IFS Cloud Cable Car in line with TfL policy.

London Eye

Sharp metallic tools or objects, alcohol, drones, large suitcases, bags, or rucksacks, smoke bombs, fireworks, glass bottles, illegal substances, rollerblades, scooters, e-scooters, skateboards, tripods, motorcycle helmets, or hot foods are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Accessibility

IFS Cloud Cable Car

This experience is wheelchair accessible.

The maximum weight for wheelchairs is 300kg, and the maximum size is 700mm by 1300mm.

You get on and off through the same doors, so there may not be enough space for you to turn around. This means you may have to reverse your wheelchair or scooter to get in or out of the cars.

The cable cars can be slowed down to allow you plenty of time to board.

Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters must be turned off inside the cars.

This experience may not be suitable for guests with vertigo, motion sensitivity, acrophobia (fear of heights), heart conditions, or anxiety disorders.

For your convenience, your guide dogs are welcome to join you.

London Eye

Guests with accessible needs are entitled to a free carer ticket with valid documentation.

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Ramps are available at the venue for easy access.

Braille guides are available for this experience.

Additional information

IFS Cloud Cable Car

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow for boarding procedures.

Tickets are valid only for the date selected at the time of booking.

You can either remain in the car and return to your starting terminal or get off at the opposite terminal and make your return at any time on the same day.

The cars arrive every 30 seconds and carry up to 10 people.

One-way journeys take up to 10 minutes but vary according to passenger flow and weather conditions.

The IFS Cloud Cable Car may temporarily close due to lightning and thunder in the immediate area or very strong winds.

Bicycles are accepted on the IFS Cloud Cable Car at all times. Guests with bicycles travel for free on the cable car before 10:30am on weekdays, excluding bank holidays.

Children under the age of five travel free (when accompanied by a fare-paying adult). Children up to the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Pets are allowed in the cars but must be carried at all times.

London Eye

Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by adults (18+).

Children under the age of 2 years can go for free, but require a ticket to enter.

Expect a wait time of up to 30-60 mins before your experience begins.

Guests should be fully clothed and must wear shoes.

Facilities: restroom, cloakroom, and free Wi-Fi.
