Head to the Port of Genoa and take in the architectural beauty of the Biosfera from outside. Designed by Renzo Piano, make sure to capture the awe-inspiring spherical glass and steel structure. Once you head inside, you'll realize the efforts of nourishing the area into a tropical forest. With over 150 species inside the man-made mini-ecosystem, there's plenty for you to see and learn.
As you walk around fascinating plants, colorful birds and butterflies flying overhead will accompany you. The fauna makes a significant part of the ecosystem in addition to the tropical flora. You'll see the tallest tree ferns in the world. As you take in the beauty of the lush nature around you, you'll also walk past delicate wildlife species. Make sure to notice the chewing gum tree, the coffee plant, the banana tree, and the cinnamon plant as you take in the beauty of the remarkable greenhouse.
