The water puppets were amazing, although the person we were supposed to collect our tickets from was late. The instructions given to us by the website said we were to look for someone in a blue shirt to get our tickets from, but they were wearing black so we had a hard time finding them.

Die Livemusik und die Kunst der Puppenspieler, zusammen mit dem Audioguide war ein großartiges Erlebnis. Wir haben die VIP Sitze gebucht und können dazu nur raten, so hat man wirklich tolle Sicht. Die Show mit 50 Min. hat die perfekte Länge. Für uns ein Muss, wenn man in Hanoi ist.

The show was so entertaining - It's been one of our highlights in Hanoi. I'm glad I opted for the audio translation as it helped me understand the story. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) was that the seats are not very comfortable.

I had read about this art form and was excited to finally have an opportunity to experience it for myself. I was intrigued by how the puppets were able to create a magical narrative, and by the musicians enhancing this.

Really nice evening! Getting the tickets was really easy and close to the puppet theater. Easy access to the theater and we had a great time. The seats are elevated so I wouldn't necessarily pay extra to be closer if I would go back. I recommend!

The Thang Long water puppet show is spectacular. I had watched this show the first time in Apr this year and was soo spellbound that I watched it again last week. And even on a repeat watch it was soo enjoyable. The music is mesmerizing and almost feels meditative. The puppetry was soo well choreographed and skillfull. The folks tales were told in a humourous yet informative way. If you want a true slice of Vietnamese life, do take an hour out to watch this show. You will not regret it. Oh yes do take the audio guide so you can follow the story!
