Today was a busy day on the ferry, the bus and on Waiheke Island as there was a cruise ship in Auckland, but we still had fun. The only issue was the hop-on hop-off bus, because they were so many people they pulled in additional drivers, our bus only went to stop 7 and we had to get off and wait 20mins for another bus to come along and pick us up, sadly the stop had no shade to stand under.

It was a very useful resource and good experience. The drivers are fantastic, great spirit, sense of humor and will to help. That in itself already does it all. The routes are useful mostly for those interested in wineries of course, yet good for all. Comfortable buses too. My only suggestion would be to coordinate the timetables better with the ferries, as most of the users will come to the island via ferry.

It was a really nice experience to begin with. The bus tour driver bought heaps of trivias and jokes. It makes the trips so very welcoming. No dull moments, just pure happiness and enjoyment.
