We rode 3 different buses throughout the day. All 3 drivers were great and 2 of the 3 guides were decent. Unfortunately the first guide of the day was quite rude to multiple people, including a couple who clearly had a language barrier, and he didn't really remember many of the tour-guide facts - and kept mixing up the dates on the things he did talk about. We didn't realize how much he left out of his presentation until we heard the other guides speak. That guide gets a 1 star, everyone else gets 5 stars.

Seats need to face forward so you can look out the windows. Bench seats facing toward the inside of a tour bus is frustrating. We booked this tour on a rainy day with the expectation that we were going to see the city. We had to sit facing the inside of the bus which made it hard to twist and look out the window behind us. Or, we had to awkwardly stare across the isle at the window being blocked by someone's head.

We did several circuits of the tour. It was interesting to hear the different guides points of view on various sites. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the historical sites. We live in a different part of the country that wasn't established as early as Philadelphia, it's fascinating to see this early history of our country.

There is nothing like sightseeing from a great vantage point and this experience gives you just that. Perched aboard a comfortable double-decker bus, conveniently tour the city of Philadelphia on this hop-on-hop-off tour with a multi-language audio guide that will help you with valuable commentary. With a route mapped to cover 28 different attractions all over the city, this tour will help you see the real Philly.

Red route

First bus: 9:30am from stop #1 (The Bourse Building)

Last bus: 5pm from stop #1 (The Bourse Building)

Frequency: Every 15 minutes

You can join a tour at any stop and hop on and off for the duration of your ticket.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Wheelchairs cannot be larger than 70cm wide, 120cm long, and 135cm high. You can contact the operator if your wheelchair exceeds these measurements, and they will assist you.

Each bus can only accommodate one wheelchair at a time. If there’s already a passenger in a wheelchair on the bus, you may have to wait for the next one.

Additional Information

Before you begin your tour, please head to Stop 1 (The Bourse Building) or Stop 5 (Reading Terminal Market) to receive a validated paper ticket from an official sales agent. Once you have this paper ticket, you can hop on and off freely at any of the other stops on the tour.

If you've purchased a paper ticket directly from the Visitor Center, you can start your tour at any of the stops and don't have to head to Stop 1 or 5.

Stop 1 (The Bourse Building) marks the start and end point of your tour. We recommend starting from this point so you don't miss out on information regarding detours and inaccessible stops.

Please note that the bus does not automatically halt at every stop along your route. It only stops when there are people waiting to board or if you inform the tour guide about wanting to hop off.
