The rooms themselves were magnificent, but what made our visit was the kindness of the wardens. We were a group of 4 frriends visiting London. In the run-up to our trip I twisted my knee exercising and my friend lifted a heavy object. We were both on meds for pain. When we heard that the tour let us leave by the gardens, we realized we would have to walk all the way around the palace and gardens to get to our next stop at The King's Gallery. The wardens arranged for us to ride a golf cart to the front gate of the palace and they let us out there reducing the amount of steps for us. They couldn't have been nicer.

From the kind and helpful queue attendants to the knowledgeable salespeople in the souvenir shop, the majesty and history of the Buckingham Palace public rooms is bookended in welcoming experiences. The queue is nicely organized and there are a plethora of attendants to answer questions. We never felt rushed through the rooms and had ample time to study the art and furnishings. It was a lovely experience. Thank you for sharing this treasure with the public.

Loved our visit ... very organised and lovely staff who were kind smiling and happy to see us. Very interesting day. Only downside was the price of things in the gift shop. I think that the prices should be focused on the working class people of this country and not in accordance with millionaires! Would have loved a Christmas Tree Decoration to remind me of the lovely day I had but was staggered at the price. Such a shame!

It was great to see behind the bits you see on tv. It was wonderful but I was surprised not to see more of the late queen, her father, grandfather, and great grandfather . Perhaps some of queen Victoria's paintings could make way? I wanted the public to see a potted history of our monarchy. Quite right that Current king and queen dominate the throne room.

Unfortunately that stands in stark contrast to Headout's customer service. Too much automation in s poorly thought out process. In total a dozen emails and not enough space here to describe the wasted time.

Loved the history, the majesty and the pure beauty of being inside Buckingham palace . Part of my life I've grown up loving the late Queen and now the King. The paintings were magnificent , a joy to see them so closely . Words failed me how beautiful the staircase and hallways were. We were sad to leave but enjoyed the experience so much.

A privilege to explore the beautiful State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. So much history contained in those rooms which host a wide range of both intelligent and imbecile world leaders! It's a good thing I'm not Queen as I wouldn't have the patience... but I do love a good Garden Party!

Great day out at Buckingham Palace. Weather was great too. Communication very good with emails too on the day. Queuing wasxeast for tickets using voucher we bought. The Palace was stunning and staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Yea in the garden nice too.

What's not allowed

For safety reasons, pushchairs are not permitted in the State Rooms. They must be checked in and reclaimed at the exit. Baby carriers are available for loan.

A one-way system operates along the entire visitor route, so be sure to check out the attractions thoroughly as you won’t be allowed to revisit them.

This tour is not meant for individuals with impaired movement.

The Changing of the Foot Guards ceremony at Buckingham Palace takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday (subject to availability). On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, there is no Foot Guards ceremony—instead, you'll explore Westminster on a guided walking tour. The Horse Guards may be on parade, but it's not always guaranteed.
