Why Visit Capri
On the island of Capri, you can spot rocks and formations across Capri which date all the way back to the main ages of the dinosaurs, specifically the Jurassic era. There is an abundance of wildlife on the island, with many birds – including peregrine falcons and quails – calling the region home. You will also find plenty of interesting lizards here, such as the gecko and the Faraglioni blue lizard.
Get a chance to visit the famous Red and Champagne cave. In the past, the island's inhabitants used the cave as a natural refuge against Barbarossa's attacks due to its three galleries.The Champagne Grotto is a naturally formed cave, created by marine erosion. Strong sprays are generated from this cavity as the wave motion is compressed on the air contained inside.
See the hidden beach Cala Ventroso accessible by sea, with crystal clear water. Nearby you'll find the Green Grotto, world renowned for the light shows that it produces inside the cave.
