We loved our guide Buse, she is knowledgeable, professional andcourteous.She made us laugh at times as well. We recommend a guided tour for these crowded places to make ita smootherexcursion. The Hagia Sofia has lots ofscaffoldingdue to repairs , refurbishment and eq repairs..TheCistern and mosque, fantastic and jawdropping.

Lo mejor fue no esperar las enormes colas. La visita en sí no estuvo mal, aunque esperábamos un poco más de pausa y no ir tan acelerados. El guía estuvo correcto, pero no excepcional. Lo siguiente, obviamente, no es culpa del guía ni del operador, pero las vistas del interior son un poco decepcionantes por estar todo andamiado y estar limitado el acceso a la planta baja exclusivamente al resto de los musulmanes.

Great guide, amazing to see these wonders in real life - unfortunately, the Topkapi was closed on the day of the tour, which would have been good to know before booking the package.

We really skipped line, otherwise we would have waited at least 30min if not more. Our guide, Haluk was very hekpful from start to the end. We started from the meeting point and in the walking way, he talked about the old square, old ıstanbul and more - not just the planed yerebatan sarnici. Our tour was was well organzied. Our guide Haluk also answered all our questions, guided us to the correct plaves after the tour when we asked questions.

Deze rondleiding was echt perfect ! Hij duurde precies lang genoeg en toch hebben we alle tijd gehad met veel uitleg. We hadden het geluk dat het niet erg druk meer was, dus konden we veel vragen stellen en alles goed bekijken. Leuke, vriendelijke gids die mooi kon vertellen.

Notre guide; Haluk nous offert une magnifique visite guidée remplie d'annecdotes, d'histoires et une joie de partager l'histoire de son magnifique pays. Je recommande ce type de visite appelée le trio qui dure 3.5 heures. cela en vaut le prix. Autement recommandé.

What to bring

Wear comfortable, sturdy footwear with good traction, as some areas, especially the Basilica Cistern, may be wet or slippery.

Dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered; women should bring a scarf or shawl to cover their heads when visiting Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

Bring a small bag for your shoes when entering the Blue Mosque, as shoes must be removed before entry.

Wired earphones or headphones are recommended for the audio guide app, as Bluetooth may not work effectively in underground areas.

Bring cash for small purchases, such as scarves or body covers at mosque entrances, and for nearby cafés or souvenirs.

Consider bringing a light jacket or sweater, as the Basilica Cistern remains cool and damp even in summer (June to August).

What’s not allowed

Large bags, backpacks, food, and drinks are prohibited inside the sites.

Flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed within the landmarks.

Shoes must be removed before entering the Blue Mosque and cannot be worn indoors.

Modest clothing is required at Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque; attire that exposes shoulders or knees is not permitted.

Some areas in Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque may be closed to visitors during prayer times.

Accessibility

The tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. Most sites have uneven flooring, steps, or cobblestone paths that make independent access challenging or unsafe for wheelchair users.

Additional information

All visitors must pass through mandatory security checks at each site, even with skip-the-line tickets. Wait times can be up to 60 minutes during peak hours (June to August).

Scarves and body covers are available for purchase at the entrance of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia for approximately €1 to €3, if needed.

Hagia Sophia is closed to tourists on Fridays from 12pm to 2:30pm for Friday prayer; plan your visit accordingly.

The ground floor of Hagia Sophia is reserved for prayers, while the Upper Gallery is open to visitors (when accessible).
