What to expect

Vietnamese Women Museum

This part of the walking tour focuses on one of Vietnam's most iconic attractions that highlights the stories and roles of Vietnamese women. Your time here helps set the social and cultural context for the later visit to Hoa Lo Prison.

Features

A guided tour inside the attraction is included, so you follow a structured route through the museum rather than exploring on your own. Your expert English- or Chinese-speaking guide, as per the option selected, helps interpret the exhibits in a clear and accessible way.

As part of this walking tour, admission to attractions is taken care of for you, allowing the group to proceed directly to the exhibition areas once you arrive.

You experience this visit either in a join-in or private tour format, depending on the option you have selected at booking, which shapes the group size and level of personalization.

Hoa Lo Prison

The next major stop is Hoa Lo Prison, a key site for understanding Vietnam's war period and political history. This visit builds on the themes introduced earlier and focuses on gaining in-depth knowledge of the prison's past.

Features

The experience includes a dedicated visit to Hoa Lo Prison, where you explore the complex with a guided tour inside the attraction rather than a self-guided walk. Your professional guide explains how the site functioned during the war period and highlights significant sections relevant to that history.

With admission to attractions already included in your booking, the group can move efficiently into Hoa Lo Prison and spend more time on the exhibits and spaces that illustrate its role in Vietnamese history.

Throughout this part of the walking tour, you gain in-depth knowledge of the history of Hoa Lo Prison and experience the war period through your guide's commentary. Guided touring is available in English or Chinese with expert English- or Chinese-speaking guides, as per the option selected, and the tour runs in either a join-in or private format, depending on your chosen variant.

Wrapping up

Your walking tour concludes after you exit Hoa Lo Prison, where your guide ends the commentary and you are free to continue exploring the surrounding area on your own or make your independent way back to your accommodation.
