Start your journey through time and history with a walking tour of Lodz. Begin at the Manufactura, a large former factory where the loom first began spinning in 1852. Today, it's been converted into a modern shopping mall. Marvel at this red brick architecture that still has one of the original factory gates intact, an architectural remnant of the Industrial Revolution. Continue your journey along Piotrkowska Street where you can go on a shopping spree on Europe’s longest shopping street! Encounter a vibrant mix of clubs, restaurants, and cultural venues. Take in the sight of renovated factories, old buildings, and unique modes of transport such as a mix of fancy rickshaws. Finally, visit the White Factory (Biała Fabryka) which was the first textile factory in Lodz that presently hosts the Central Museum of Textiles and Folk Dance Ensemble or HARNAM.
