Getting started

Arrive at your selected venue in Kyoto and present your booking confirmation and valid photo ID at check-in. Depending on your chosen option, the experience takes place at a historic tea house, the MUTEKI Theater, or a theater venue in Gion.

What to expect

• Maiko cultural performance: Watch a live traditional dance performance by a Maiko, an apprentice geisha trained in Kyoto’s refined performing arts traditions.

• Interactive cultural exchange: After the performance, take part in a guided Q&A session with live English translation, giving you insight into Maiko training, daily life, and cultural customs.

• Traditional party game: Join a classic Japanese ozashiki-style party game hosted by the Maiko for a more interactive and engaging cultural experience.

• Photo and video time: Capture photos and videos during designated moments and enjoy close-up interactions in an intimate small-group setting.

Upgrades

• Select options with tea and Japanese snacks served in a historic Kyoto tea house.

• Upgrade to include a visit to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine alongside the cultural experience.

• Choose the Gion theater option at MUTEKI for an alternate performance venue and show format.
