Malamala Beach Club Private Island exceeded all expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip. The island is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and a relaxed luxury atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food and drinks were delicious, the facilities were well maintained, and there were plenty of activities to enjoy, from swimming and snorkeling to simply relaxing by the beach. Everything was well organized and the breathtaking views made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Malamala Beach Club to anyone looking for a perfect tropical getaway.

malamala was awesome booking through headout was frustrating as there was never any comms on hotel transfers? you said SP would be in touch? who is SP? no one got in touch. great day out though.

Super solid day trip! Sucks that you had to pay extra for certain spots like daybeds and cabanas, so I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was, especially when you get that for free at different islands.

Getting started

Begin your day with a pre-booked coach pickup from your hotel, followed by a high-speed catamaran transfer from Port Denarau. Upon arrival at Malamala Beach Club, staff will greet you and provide a quick orientation before you explore the island.

What to expect

Set on its own island just 30 minutes from Port Denarau, Malamala Beach Club is recognized as the world’s first beach club on a private island. The club offers access to white sand beaches, an infinity-edge pool, and panoramic views across the Mamanuca Islands.

Features

Infinity-edge pool: Relax in a resort-style pool overlooking the ocean, with complimentary towel service and free Wi-Fi in the main club area.

Water activities: Use provided snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddling equipment to explore Fiji’s clear waters and vibrant marine life.

Beachside cabanas: Enjoy the comfort of shaded cabanas (rental not included) or lounge on the sand, with easy access to fresh Pacific-inspired cuisine and drinks (at your own expense).

Seamless transfers: Benefit from included coach and catamaran transfers, making your journey from Coral Coast, Natadola, Momi Bay, or Sonaisali hassle-free and convenient.

What to bring

Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses for sun protection.

Please bring a valid photo ID that matches the name on your booking, if requested at check-in.

Bring cash or a credit card for food, drinks, and optional rentals, as these are not included.

What’s not allowed

No outside food or beverages are allowed on the island.

Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

Accessibility

This experience is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Additional information

Pickup is available from most Coral Coast, Sonaisali, Natadola, Momi Bay, Nadi, Denarau, and Wailoaloa hotels; provide your accommodation details at least 24 hours before your tour.

Please wait in your hotel lobby at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

For Denarau, Wailoaloa, Nadi & Vuda customers: the vessel departs Port Denarau at 09:30am, arriving at Malamala at 10am.

For Coral Coast, Natadola, Momi Bay & Sonaisali customers: the vessel departs Port Denarau at 10am, arriving at Malamala at 10:30am.

Food, drinks, cabana, and poolside day bed rentals are not included in your ticket and can be purchased on site.

Complimentary towel service and free Wi-Fi are available in the main club area.

Snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddling equipment are provided free of charge for guests.
