Airboat Adventures: My family and grandkids had a blast flying through the Everglades. Our tour captain was great. He explained the ecosystem and alligator behavior. Excellent. Definitely worth doing.

Awesome value! And very kid-friendly! Saw loads of birds and 2 alligators (which is really out of anyone's control). Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable.

The website advertised free headphones to protect your ears from the noise, but they just handed out foam earplugs that were pretty much useless. Or you could buy headphones for $10. If you have your own, bring them; I wish I had. There wasn’t a schedule posted for talks about the alligators, so we missed almost all of it by the time we got to the exhibits. Luckily, one of the docents gave us a shortened talk later. The boat ride itself was fun.

Accessibility

People with mobility issues can board the airboat, but airboats are not wheelchair-accessible. Clerks at the Park do provide assistance provided in case required.

All the animal exhibits at the Park are wheelchair-accessible, and there are wheelchairs available at no cost.

Service animals are allowed in the Park but at your own risk. They are not allowed on the airboat.

Additional information

Life jackets are required to be worn on the airboat for children aged 6 and under.

Children aged 3 and under can participate in the airboat tour for free.

Pregnant women can board the airboat, but they are recommended to get a consultation from their doctor before the experience.

Book your private airboat tour at least a week in advance because they tend to get reserved fast.

Free parking is available at the Park.
