The elephants are beautiful animals. Annie and Noon did a fantastic job explaining how they take care of them and facts about them. The day starts with feeding them. Mud bath, swimming with them, and finally showering them. It is then followed up with a cooking class that taught my wife how to make pad Thai. That is added to a buffet of Thai food for lunch, which was absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend. It would not feel like a vacation to Thailand without seeing the elephants. One of the elephants even followed us to say goodbye.

Visit Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Phuket for a guided experience focused on rescued elephants. Depending on your selected tour, you can feed the elephants, join a shower or mud spa activity, enjoy a Thai meal, or choose a shorter visit.

Getting started

Make your way to the sanctuary meeting point if you have selected a self-drive or meeting-point option. For tours with hotel transfers, follow the pickup instructions in your booking confirmation. Your guide will introduce the sanctuary and explain elephant behaviour and the safety guidelines for your visit. The exact camp and activities depend on your selected program.

What to expect

Meet and feed the elephants

Learn about the elephants and take part in a feeding session with guidance from the sanctuary team. This activity is included across the listed variants, although the additional activities and duration differ.

Elephant feeding: Feed the elephants using the food provided for your session

Guided experience: Learn about elephant behaviour from an English-speaking guide

Photos: Capture photos during your visit where included in your selected program

Choose your preferred activity

Several options add activities beyond feeding. The Feed and Shower tours include an outdoor shower activity with the elephants, while the half-day Bang Tao and Kathu self-drive tours list both a mud spa and shower experience. The Mud Spa, Bathe and Lunch options add food and meal experiences.

Shower sessions: Choose a Feed and Shower option for the listed shower activity

Mud spa and bathing: Select a mud spa program if you want these activities included

Thai cooking: Selected lunch programs include a Thai cooking activity or Pad Thai demonstration

Viewing platform and treats: The Feed and Lunch options list a jungle viewing platform, elephant treats and a Thai cooking activity

Enjoy a meal or refreshments

Meal inclusions vary by tour. The Mud Spa, Bathe and Lunch options list lunch, drinks and seasonal fruits, while the Bang Tao and Kathu half-day self-drive options include a traditional Thai buffet. The Feeding Session, Meeting Point option includes a complimentary drink. Check your selected option for the exact meal and refreshment inclusions.

Upgrades

Choose from meeting-point, self-drive and hotel-transfer options. You can also select a feeding-only visit, a shower session, a mud spa and bathing program, or a meal-inclusive tour. Activities, meals, refreshments and transport vary by option, so review the variant details before booking.
