I missed one star because the guide directed us from the Cathedral trough the gates for upper terraces. Afterwords we find out that if we like to see the Crypt at the basement, we have to do it after climbing down from the Dome and to take the cue for entering again in the Cathedral! My opinion is that the guide should advise us to see first the Crypt once we were already inside! It is true that in such case, the guide should wait for the group and after to climb up together for the first terrace where the Bishops are. I consider that my comment it's useful for other visitors. Thank you!

As we were short on time it was really useful to skip the queues, and it did feel special to stand on the roof of the Duomo Cathedral so close to the Dome and well placed to enjoy the red tiled rooves of all the surrounding buildings. The meeting point address took us somewhere else further along the avenue on google maps which was a bit of a stressful start and I'd liked to have heard more about the Cathedral rather than all the placatory chat about the steps and where you could turn back if you didn't want to go up them when it seemed clear that steps were a part of the tour.

Great all day ticket to explore Duomo experience. Well worth the money. Meeting guide should have had 'enjoy Rome' sign on flag she had a bag with it in which wasn't visible on her but location was easy to find. Also if you book audio tour you should mention on booking to take your own headset so you are not annoying other tourists when playing on app. Could provide more information on sights too it was a bit basic.

No pudimos entrar a la torre del campanario porque estaba en reparacion y eso no estaba anunciado cuando compramos el ticket. Lo mismo con el el baptisterio. Los mosaicos estan en restauración y no se puede ver casi nada. De haberlo sabido, solo compraba la entrada para el domo.

I got tickets last minute and had a wonderful climb to the top of the dome. I also really enjoyed the museum next door as well as the baptistry. Highly reccomend, the stair climb is not too difficult, take about 10-15 minutes and there are placees to stop and rest if needed.

Climbing Brunelleschi’s Dome is not for the faint of heart, but it’s definitely worth it if you want to see the breathtaking skyline of Florence. We decided to skip the bell tower after that climb!

Accessibility

The Dome, Bell Tower, and Secret Terraces access involves steep, narrow stairs and is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility.

Your entry to the other Duomo Complex sites remains valid for 3 days from your timed Dome climb.

Remember to dress modestly, with shoulders and knees covered for your Cathedral and Baptistery visit.

Please note that guards may occasionally limit the time spent inside the Bell Tower to help manage crowd flow.
