Date: 16 Jan 2026 - Sunrise Desert Safari. We received the driver details by email about 12 hours before the pickup time. The pickup was right on schedule at 5:00 AM from our hotel for the morning desert safari. We drove nearly 70 km away from the city and took a short 10-minute break before entering the desert. Once inside the desert, we were welcomed with Arabic dates and coffee. The driver also helped us with sandboarding and took some great pictures for us. The highlight of the experience was definitely the dune bashing. It was thrilling and intense, though we wished it had lasted another 5-10 minutes. After the dune bashing, we were taken to a spot for breakfast. They offered us sandwiches, croissants, cakes, juice, fruits, and water, and everything tasted fresh and good. Following breakfast, we were dropped back at our hotel. Overall, it was a well organized and memorable experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed the morning safari.

We really enjoyed the tour! The driver was polite, constantly asking if everything was okay, and showed us desert animals (gazelles and Arabian oryx) from the car window. Those who wanted to rode a skateboard, drank coffee with dates, took great photos, rode through the desert, had breakfast, and saw gray flamingos on the lake. The only thing is, don't take passengers in the third row—it's not comfortable, especially if they are tall people.

The sunrise safari was overall a decent experience. The pickup in the morning was smooth and right on time, which I appreciated. The vehicle was a bit old, but the drive was comfortable enough. Before entering the desert, we stopped near a mosque to wait for other vehicles to arrive, and then continued into the desert. There was no dune bashing included in this experience, which is worth noting. During the safari, we spotted only two types of animals, followed by a beautiful sunrise view, which was definitely the highlight of the trip. After sunrise, we stopped at a dune where cold snacks were unpacked for breakfast. Later, the vehicle was parked near an artificial lake where we could see birds, which was a calm and pleasant ending to the tour. Overall, the experience was fine, but adding a warm breakfast option would be a big improvement, especially since it gets quite cold in the early morning hours.

Transportation is provided in 4x4 vehicles, with a maximum of five passengers per vehicle.

The tour duration is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, plus an additional 60-90 minutes for hotel transfers in Dubai, depending on traffic.

Pick-up is included from hotels in Deira, Bur Dubai, Downtown, Al Barsha, Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Marina, as well as locations in Sharjah and Ajman.

Pick-up from private residences or villas in Dubai can be arranged from nearby hotels.

Pick-up from Jebel Ali, Dubai Parks, Bab Al Shams, Al Maha Desert Resort, and hotels near the Dubai Expo site is available for an additional AED 50 per person (minimum two people).

You will receive a confirmation email along with a mobile voucher. Please display that mobile voucher with a valid photo ID during the pickup.
