Honestly, this was one of the SMOOTHEST roadtrips I've had. I went with my husband and our two teens, and our driver (Mohammed) was chatty and kind without being overbearing, which is a big plus for me! He had water and even some local snacks ready for us, and stopped at this random viewpoint for pics (def worth the wind in my hair). Drive was comfy, AC worked all the way (blessing, trust me). Petra itself was a bit crowded but totally magical. If you’re worried about toilets—don’t, they were surprisingly clean at the stops. Would do it all again, maybe in cooler weather though.

Had a great trip with my girlfriend—our driver, Farid, was ON TIME (rare for tours lol). He gave us tons of info about Petra and the local villages. Car was clean, but a bit of a bumpy ride in spots. Wish we had more time in Wadi Rum, felt a lil rushed there. Still, got some epic sunset photos and Farid knew all the best stops for them. Just bring extra sunscreen, the sun is NO joke.

Went solo—just needed an easy way to see Petra without the hassle. My driver, Sami, was super chill and didn't mind my awkward silences. He even helped me find a SIM card shop on the way, which saved my day. Petra was jaw-dropping but ngl the walk from entrance is LONG, so wear good shoes. Shoutout to Sami for the playlist too, dude has taste.

Went with two friends and we had a blast! Our driver, Salim, had the patience of a saint waiting for us while we took like 1000 photos at the Siq. The car was clean, AC worked, but traffic leaving Amman was a pain. Still, Salim made the trip light with stories about local legends. FYI—no eating in the car, Salim’s rule!

This was my third time to Petra but first time doing it with a private driver. Khalil is a LEGEND. He knew shortcuts to avoid traffic and got us to Wadi Rum for sunset tea with a Bedouin family. If you can, ask for Khalil—he even found me a lost phone charger. 10/10.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for hiking and climbing stairs at Hang Mua Cave.

Bring sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven terrain, stairs at Hang Mua Cave, and boat embarkation/disembarkation.

Guests with limited mobility or serious health conditions are not recommended to join this tour.

Children aged 9 and above are charged the same rate as adults.

Free for children aged 0–4 if not occupying a separate seat; only 1 free child per paying adult. Additional children require a child ticket.

Round-trip transfers are from a designated meeting point in Ha Noi Old Quarter.
