Vouliagmeni area is beautiful. However, the lake itself is quite dirty, so we preferred crossing the road and going to the tavern and the beach there. Poseidon temple during sunset is a magical place. Before reaching it, Chris, our drivee and guide, stopped to tell us the story behind and it was very intriguing. All in all, great communication with support, with Chris, who took great care of us during our excursion. Thank you!

We had an amazing tour to Athens with this company. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The ride was very comfortable, smooth, and relaxing, which made the journey even more enjoyable. The arrangements were excellent, and every detail was handled professionally. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the trip. It was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone visiting Athens.

We really enjoyed the tour and the guide Miltos. The lake is amazing for swimming and the Temple has amazing panoramic view of all the Aegean Sea especially the sunset is very beautiful.

What to bring

Carry your own towel for Lake Vouliagmeni. Towels are available for rent on-site if needed.

Keep a valid photo ID handy in case it’s required to verify your booking at entry.

Set aside extra budget for meals, as well as entrance fees to Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon (not included in the tour price).

Pack swimwear and a change of clothes if you plan to take a dip in the lake.

Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are recommended, especially during warmer months.

Comfortable walking shoes are advised, as exploring the Temple of Poseidon involves some walking.

What’s not allowed

This experience is not recommended for pregnant travelers.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception of certified service animals.

Alcohol, drugs, or participation under the influence are strictly prohibited.

Large backpacks, suitcases, and bulky luggage are restricted at the archaeological sites for security reasons.

Additional information

Hotel pickups take place from the lobby. For Airbnb stays, pickup is at the building entrance after coordinating with the driver. Airport and port pickups are arranged at arrivals, where your driver will be waiting with a sign.

Your driver is experienced and knowledgeable but not licensed to guide inside archaeological sites.

The itinerary may be adjusted due to traffic conditions or operational requirements.

Lake Vouliagmeni offers shower and changing facilities for guests.

Children must be supervised by an adult throughout the experience.
