Lets get the good things out in the open. Tickets worked perfectly and the BEST time to go is before the hordes are taken through in waves by flag waving guides. The building is futistic and modern but the staircase is pretty inaccessible to the infirm and many of the statues are not named. There is plenty of space around each exhibit. The boat reconstruction was probably the most interesting. And the bad.... well, terrible signage with far too many assumptions. There is no clear flow of time and little or no information on how, when or where exhibits were found. The moving staircase is horrid with sudden change to elevation, particularly on down sections. The shop is poor value with ghastly, tacky souvenirs and overpriced books Would I visit again? Yes, again first thing. Would I engage a guide? No. Totally unnecessary for anyone with an interest in history. Save your money for a guide to the Pyramids and choose as small a group as possible

Smooth entry. Walk easily, show your ticket, enjoy. The museum is worth the ticket. Spend the day there. You can have breakfast there, enjoy the exhibit, leave with the sunset.

Egyptology and a longing to see the GEM museum. Excellent artifacts in display and a lot of wonderful history to be learnt about Egypts amazing history .

Dans l'ensemble tout c'est bien passé, nous n'avons pas eu de problème avec les tickets que ce soit pour l'accès aux pyramides ou au musée. L'application simplifie l'achat des tickets mais malheureusement, c'est beaucoup moins chère si on passe par les sites officiels, quand même 50€ de différence au total nous concernant.

Wow and wow!! What a wonderful experience at the GEM. Ticketing and access was so easy. The magnitude of the museum and the amazing Ramses 2 statue in the the Grand Hall was a great entry into the collection. The quality of the artefacts, interpretation and staff assistance was excellent. Go early to beat the crowds and if possible, have this expedience at the end of your Egyptian travels, it'll make it even more memorable.

Scultures and it was so organizaded and cleaned. I have an advice for the country. Cleaning culture for every Egiptian, I does not depend of the goverment . There are to much garbage on each street and hide the beauty of this country.

To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.

Regular hours (except Saturday and Wednesday): The GEM Complex is open from 8:30am to 7pm, Galleries from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.

Saturday and Wednesday: The GEM Complex operates from 8:30am to 10pm, Galleries from 9am to 9pm, with last entry at 8pm.
