The Holywood palace visit was well organised and all the staff were very helpful. Such a beautiful place! The audio guide was excellent, informative and interesting. Magnified the history of the place for me. Would recommend people to visit. Photography is not allowed inside the palace but the guide is an reasonable price.

El ingreso fue muy rápido, el personal organizaba las filas para acceder canjeando la entrada a quienes ya habiamos reservado y pagado y por otro lado a quienes debian realizarlo todo. La audio guía fue muy util. Se ajustaba a lo que veias y daba informacion complementaria. Una visita disfrutable. No se puede sacar fotos en el interior

Bella visita, con l'audio guida, dove è possibile vedere stanze storiche di rilevante importanza! Speravamo di vedere anche le stanze reali dove abitualmente vivono, ma non era inserito nel biglietto. Purtroppo non posso allegare foto perché sono vietate nel tour all'interno del palazzo.

Beautiful grounds, audio tour was very informative and easy to follow. Each passage was not too wordy, easy listening. We stayed for longer than expected, so much to see and the walk of the gardens was very inspirational. Stopped for lunch , food was reasonably priced with good choices

Con el bus turístico puedes ver las cosas más destacadas de Edimburgo sin necesidad de andar demás, te deja cerca de todos los sitios importantes y es cómodo, además si llueve puedes ir cubierto, con las explicaciones dadas se aprende mucho más de la ciudad. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

Large bags, rucksacks, and suitcases (30L or over) are not allowed inside for security reasons.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Keep your camera tucked away – photography is strictly not allowed inside the State Apartments.

Edinburgh Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour

Wheelchairs must be no larger than 70cm wide, 120cm long, and 135cm high to board the bus. If unsure, contact the service provider.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse will be open on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. However, it will be closed on Christmas Day.

As the Palace of Holyroodhouse is a working royal palace, security and opening arrangements may be subject to change at short notice.

The palace is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
