Fin dal primo momento, l’esperienza è stata resa perfetta non solo dall’atmosfera incredibilmente suggestiva del bunker sotterraneo, ma anche dalla squisita gentilezza e professionalità di tutto il personale, sempre accogliente e disponibile. Il vero valore aggiunto è l’audioguida (disponibile in più lingue), che offre una descrizione minuziosa e dettagliata di ogni singola stanza. Grazie a questo supporto, le stanze del bunker non sono semplici spazi espositivi, ma prendono letteralmente vita: camminare tra la Map Room e i corridoi segreti fa respirare la tensione e la pressione dei giorni più drammatici della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. È una visita che offre un grandissimo spunto di riflessione sul passato. È affascinante e al tempo stesso toccante scoprire l'incredibile livello di organizzazione logistica dell'epoca e potersi immergere nei pensieri e nelle strategie dei principali artefici del conflitto. History Frozen in Time If you want a truly unforgettable experience, the Churchill War Rooms are an absolute must. Stepping underground into this bunker feels less like visiting a museum and more like stepping into a time machine. The history here isn’t just displayed; it’s preserved exactly as it was left in 1945, right down to the maps on the walls and the sugar cubes on the desks. Whether you are a deep history buff or just looking for an incredible spot to take friends and family when meeting up, this tour delivers. It provides a fascinating, immersive look at the intense pressure and strategy behind World War II. Beyond the exhibits themselves, the entire experience was flawless. The facilities are modern, well-maintained, and incredibly clean. What really stood out, though, was the staff — they were welcoming, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the history, which made the tour even better. Don't skip this if you're in London. It’s an incredible piece of living history that everyone should see at least once!

A wonderful self guided audio tour! Essential and vital for all in understanding WWII! A go-at-your-own-pace vibe, some choose to learn and listen/interact with all of the exhibits while some may skip to what they view is the most important. The layout of the tour has one doubling back in some place and can be a bit confusing. The audio part of the tour is not timed by your walk by the artifacts, so pay attention. The dim lighting throughout makes it challenging for those with vision impairments (ie- low vision) and the random sloping/steps can make it difficult for those with moderate physical concerns. During crowded street times, or heavy tourist times, this below ground can be a blessing (ie-not with the masses) or a curse (ie-body odor/hygiene of other patrons). Overall a great view into history, England, WWII and of course Churchill.

Innzanzi tutto la Churcill War Rooms e' posizionata benissimo, perché oltre essere centrale è vicina al lo splendido Saint James park e a poca breve distanza da Buckingham palace, quindi puoi unire le visite. L'entrata se hai prenotato è puntuale senza troppa fila perché ben gestita. Il bunker è studiato nei dettagli che lo arricchiscono con informazioni sia sulle attività svolte all'interno, in particolare gli studi cartografici per monitorare gli apastamento del nemico e anticiparne le intenzioni l, sia sul clima di tensione che si poteva vivere all'interno di un posto sotterraneo , militarizzato e sotto bombardamenti. Come chicca della visita ci sono gli alloggi e gli uffici privati di Chirchill e le stanze dove si decideva la sorte di molti soldati e della guerra stessa.

My Mom and I didn't know what to expect, and we were just blown away! Amazing to see history preserved so perfectly. I could really start to imagine what it must have been like to have worked and lived in those rooms during such a stressful time, with everything depending on the success of what went on there. Wow. And the museum was absolutely fascinating. As an American, I didn't have extensive exposure to Churchill. I loved learning more about him and the crucial work he did. The collection is really unbelievable. It is a "can't miss" experience. Thank you for making it available to the public.

In 2006 I visited Churchill war rooms with my students and this time with my husband who came to the UK for the first time. I liked the practical part withe the living in the bunker and I learnt a lot about Churchill's character, his being hard against the people working with him and also against himself, the fact that he slept 3 hours a night. Churchill's exhibition is varied, I appreciated the sentenced he uttered, the explanations of the situation of that time. Thanks a lot. V.Desaché

Amazing to see the preserved "as was" state Of the war room from where Winston Churchill lead the War cabinet effort for England. The museum area had a treasure of artifacts that explained PM Churchilll's life story and the high resolve of the people of London in a long battle against Nazi germany in World War II. Fascinating place to see!
