During my trip to Budapest, visiting a thermal bath was one of the best experiences I had. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and the pools were amazing. There were different types of pools with various temperatures, so it was easy to spend hours there without getting bored. The warm thermal water felt refreshing and helped us relax after walking around the city all day. The sauna area was also excellent. It was clean, comfortable, and gave the whole experience a luxurious feeling. What made the visit even more special was the social atmosphere. We met many friendly people from different countries and had enjoyable conversations while relaxing in the pools. It felt like a place where people could truly connect and have a good time together. I also thought the thermal hub was very safe and well-organized. The staff were helpful, lockers were secure, and the environment felt comfortable at all times. In my opinion, anyone visiting Budapest should definitely experience one of its thermal baths at least once. It is a perfect combination of relaxation, fun, and culture.

Le terme di Szechenyi sono bellissime, le due vasche grandi fuori, calde e con idromassaggio. Le altre vasche interne calde, non avevano l'idromassaggio. Sono rimasta un pò delusa. Bello anche lo spogliatoio privato, le docce comuni, tutto molto pulito. Solo l'asciugacapelli mi ha delusa. Si spegnevano sempre e dovevi sempre azionarli con il sensore e molti non funzionavano. del resto è stata una bella esperienza. Per la crociera sul danubio anche questa molto bella,ma il molo era troppo lontano da raggiungere, almeno per me che ero nel quartiere ebraico. Mi aspettavo un drink a bordo ma non c'è l'hanno dato. Comunque bella esperienza anche questa. Tanti posti a sedere, al coperto perchè c'era freddo

Wij kwamen op vrijdag rond 11 uur aan, er was totaal geen rij. Konden direct overal doorlopen met de online tickets. Wij hadden een privé cabin, ideaal om je om te kleden en je spul op te bergen. Ondanks de slechte reviews die we hadden gelezen, was het over t algemeen erg schoon. Natuurlijk hou je binnen in een badhuis wel schimmel vorming. Maar wij vonden dit niet storend. De bier spa moet wel apart voor betaald worden. Alle bedjes lagen wel vol rond deze tijd, maar we hebben toch nog 3 bedjes weten te scoren. De cocktails zijn duur maar errrrg goed! Zeker een aanrader om hier naartoe te gaan! Je vermaakt je hier prima een hele dag.

La visita a las termas valió totalmente la pena. Llegamos aproximadamente al medio día, había gente pero no estaba tan lleno y se pudo aprovechar bien todas las piscinas, exteriores e interiores. Accedimos a lockers y todo funcionó muy bien. Volvería a ir! En cuanto al tour por el Danubio estuvo muy lindo, pero eso sí que estaba muy lleno y creo que quien realmente aprovecha son los que estan en la ventana. Estuvo muy lindo igual, solo creo que se aprovecha mas en los barcos abiertos. Linda experiencia

Entrée très facile avec les billets sur le téléphone. Le site est magnifique et l'eau est divinement chaude. Par contre beaucoup de monde. Prendre uniquement avec un casier est suffisant. Prévoir la crême solaire. Nous en avions mis seulement sur le visage et nous avons attrapé un bon coup de soleil en avril. Une expérience à faire absolument. Le fait que le site ne soit pas autorisé aux enfants de moins de 14 ans est une très bonne chose, cela permet de profiter plus sereinement.

Beautiful baths, with a very historical feel! Enjoyed our day at th baths. Crowded, clean, nice temperatures. Went first thing in the morning, found spaces to be but afternoon was too crowded. Would recommend getting there earlier, so by early afternoon were ready to be done due to numbers. Enjoyed our locker area. Would have liked better signage to know where to go, but we're able to find what we wanted and truly enjoyed our time at these hot springs.

Piscine esterne molto belle, con idromassaggi e fontane, riscaldate (32 e 38 gradi a maggio, ma la temperatura viaria in base alla stagione ed al meteo). Locali interni storici ma poco curati (zone con intonaco cadente e muffa). All'interno tante piscine (no idromassaggio) e due saune. Le docce sono miste ma hanno la porta singola. Cabine, docce e bagni puliti. Consiglio di portarsi l' asciugamano e le ciabatte poiché l'acquisto in loco è costoso.

It was such an amazing experience in these thermal baths. The building from outside as from inside is absolutely beautiful and inspiring. I have never seen so many saunas and thermal baths all together. It would also nice to see that you can play chess in the outside pools and also have food or a drink.

Ingresso veloce e senza problemi, poca fila (prima delle 10). Cabina comoda dove lasciare anche il trolley mentre vi godete le piacine, se ci andate magari dopo aver fatto il check out in qualche hotel o simili.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Bad. Es hat alles gut geklappt, von der Online- Bestellung , Umkleidekabine bis zum Aufenthalt. Mit etwas Glück findet man auch noch freie Liegen. Es war ein schöner, entspannter Tag.

ha estado genial, son dos experiencias que deben hacerse cuando se visita budapest, el balneario es recomendable ir por la mañana porque hay menos gente, y el barco de noche ha sido increíble

Start your day at the main entrance of Széchenyi Spa, where you’ll validate your ticket and receive your locker or private cabin access. Once checked in, you're free to explore the spa’s historic and rejuvenating facilities at your own pace.

What to expect

Opened in 1913, Széchenyi Spa is Europe's largest thermal bath complex, famed for its Neo-baroque architecture and healing mineral waters sourced from natural hot springs.

Features

3 outdoor pools: Relax in the thermal pool, swim laps in the swimming pool, or enjoy the experience pool with jets and massaging water features.

15 indoor pools: Choose from pools of varying temperatures, designed to help with relaxation and wellness.

Sauna & steam rooms: Access multiple saunas and steam cabins to detox and enhance your wellness experience.

Locker or private cabin: Store your belongings securely in a locker or opt for a private changing cabin for additional comfort.

Want to save time and avoid entrance crowds during the rush hours? Opt for fast-track entry, available in morning or afternoon time slots, to skip the main queue and gain direct entry to the spa.

What to bring

Bring along your swimsuit, towel, slippers, and a swimming cap for the experience.

It is mandatory to wear slippers throughout the spa area. Swimming caps are required in swimming pools but not in thermal baths.

What's not allowed

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is restricted to guests under the age of 14 years.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair or pram/stroller accessible.

Additional Information

Due to scheduled maintenance, the swimming pool will be closed from April 20 to May 17, 2026.

Renovation work will take place at the entrance stairs from Állatkerti Street between May 4 and July 12, 2026.

The swimming pool side locker room area will be under renovation and converted into a coed locker room between July 29 and August 6, 2026.

The staircase sunbathing area will undergo renovation from August 31 to October 11, 2026.

The women’s thermal section will be closed for renovation from December 7, 2026, through November 2027.

The pools and surrounding areas must be vacated 20 minutes before closing.

Last entry is permitted up to one hour before closing time.

If you select the fast-track entry ticket, make sure to enter the spa before 11am or after 3pm for guaranteed immediate entry.

Your ticket allows one-time entry only and cannot be reused for re-entry.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
