Our travel guide was a very charming eloquent Lady, who explained everything and told many little secrets of the city. The bus driver was also an expert, while it was not easy to get along all the closures because of the London Marathon...

Firstly, for the price of the tour, I thought that we would have access to see inside the palace. Second, with so many people there is very little visibility to see the changing of the guard and take even a video. In general it did not meet my expectations.

The instructor was amazing. But you shouldn't say this is a "changing of the guard" tour if changing of the guard only happens every 48 hours. It's NOT a "changing of the guard" tour and I wouldn't have ordered it had I known.

The Changing of the Guard ceremony marks the official shift change of the Household Regiment - the King’s guards stationed at Buckingham Palace. Watch in awe as the New Guard marches in to assume responsibility for protecting the Palace. Dressed in their scarlet suits and bearskin hats, these guards exemplify British pomp and ceremony in a showing that absolutely can’t be missed. After, you can upgrade your tickets and choose to go on a Thames River cruise, or enjoy afternoon tea at the Rubens, which overlooks Buckingham Palace.

The Changing of the Foot Guards Ceremony takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Please note that if you book your tour on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, you’ll see the Changing of the Horse Guard Ceremony instead.

River cruise is independent and is a one-way trip from Westminster Pier to Tower Pier.

Children aged between 3 to 16 years will be served the children's afternoon tea menu.
