Great day. All staff from bus driver, boat operator and crew to restaurant staff were all genuinely cheerful, helpful and informative. Everyone employed by the operator enjoyed their work immensely and this reflected with the very positive interaction all had with the customers. Taylor and Andrew where very experienced the tour was fantastic and we were able to see all suggested. The weather was perfect this helped. Would suggest this is the tour to do conditions were perfect. Thanks

Excellent organisation. Professionally run in a friendly manner. Thanks to Ben - our helpful, informative and very capable driver, guide and deckhand! The boat trip is full on - long stretches at 45 knots interspersed with stops for explanations of geology, botany, caves, blow holes, sea stacks, cormorants, fur seals and long nosed seals. Wear warm clothes. They think of everything and even offered us 'anti sea sick' pills and gel hand warmers!

There are 3 boats that heads out for the Bruny island cruise. Apparently i'm the weakest link since i puke my guts out during the ride. But that is on me. The whole trip itself was nice. Our guide from Hobart and our Bruny cruise guides are amazing they are full of knowledge and attentive. We didnt exactly saw Southern Right Whale as they are quite shy and stay just right under water but we did saw the whale spout which was still cool. And the guides tried their best to spot more whale for us. But hey it's mother nature. Anyhow whole experience itself was great!

There is no worry that I rate this tour highly, from the coach driver who was engaging with a great deal of knowledge of where were and what to expect. The skipper of the boat was great and very capable and had many a dad joke that was very funny. The deckhand and guide was very knowledgeable and explained what we saw I plain English that was understandable by most people on the boat.

Great your guides - knowledgeable, personable and a unique sense of humour. Bus ride informative, facilities very good. Boat ride was brilliant. Fantastic sights,.TRugh seas and winds added to the experience while guides made us all feel safe and secure. "Valet service" to the door by the bus on the way back. Great day. World do it again. Highly recommend.

Getting started

Your experience begins at Franklin Wharf in Hobart, with round-trip transfers taking you to Kettering for the ferry crossing to Bruny Island. Meet your English-speaking guide and travel across the island before heading to Adventure Bay for morning tea and your wilderness cruise.

What to expect

Bruny Island by bus: Travel through the island with guided sightseeing and stops at some of its notable landscapes and wildlife areas, including The Neck Lookout and Adventure Bay. Keep an eye out for Bruny’s white wallabies along the way.

3-hour wilderness cruise: Set out along Bruny Island’s rugged coastline, with opportunities to spot seals, dolphins and seabirds while taking in cliffs, sea caves, rocky outcrops and the Breathing Rock blowhole.

Tasmanian lunch: Stop in Adventure Bay for a gourmet Tasmanian lunch before continuing your island tour.

A planned day from Hobart: Round-trip Hobart transfers, ferry crossings, morning tea, lunch, the bus tour and wilderness cruise are included, so the main logistics are covered in one booking.

What to bring

Bring your hat, sunglasses, camera, water bottle, and a seasickness tablet for your cruise.

Dress in warm layers as it can get chillier on the water. Warm jackets, scarves, beanies, and gloves are recommended.

The ferry from Kettering to Bruny takes about 20 minutes.

Accessibility

Buses include storage for collapsible mobility devices, but passengers must be able to climb steps to board as the vehicles are not wheelchair accessible.
