Riding the Bernina Express was truly an unforgettable experience. The views along the journey were absolutely breathtaking — every moment felt like a postcard coming to life, with stunning mountains, glaciers, and charming alpine villages passing by. The service on board was excellent, with a very attentive and professional staff who made the entire trip even more enjoyable. Everything was extremely well organized, from boarding to the overall flow of the journey, which allowed me to simply relax and fully take in the beauty around me. It’s one of those experiences that goes beyond just transportation — it’s something you feel, appreciate, and remember. Highly recommended for anyone who values incredible scenery combined with comfort and top-level service.

I bought tickets in advance for me and my friend, the carriage has been changed and we had separated seats, the weather was cloudy but the train clean and nice. There was quite a bit of fog, and at one point it felt like we were floating among the clouds, which kept us from seeing the scenery in all its splendor. On top of that, the raindrops on the windows of the Bernina Express ruined our photos. On the way back, we took the red local Bernina train—the Bernina Railway—and it was absolutely stunning. We opened the window and took photos—the fog had lifted, the rain had stopped, and everything looked breathtaking.

Enjoyed the ride it's very scenic , had already seen some of the trip driving through , got the red train back and to be honest it wasn't bad you can still see a lot through the windows . The only dissappointed bit was st moritz which I found underwhelming apart from the beautiful frozen lake . Had wanted to do st moritz to Chur but don't think I will now .

Fue una increíble experiencia de principio a fin. Desde la facilidad para comprar los tickets en la aplicacion, hasta Encontrar el tren en la estación de San Moritz (son los últimos trenes de izquierda a derecha, son rojos e inconfundibles). El viaje se puede disfrutar mucho mejor gracias a que se pueden abrir las ventanas panorámicas. Los paisajes son maravillosos e inolvidables, la ruta estará muy bien pensada para disfrutar y fotografiar cada momento. Tremenda experiencia estamos muy contentos de haberla vivido.

The flexible Bernina Red Train ticket is your key to unlimited alpine adventures on your journey between St. Moritz and Tirano. Hop off at the off-beat stops, and explore Swiss villages, set off on hiking trails, or spend a lazy weekend at an Italian vineyard. Crack open windows during the peak season to click glare-free pictures and feel the crisp mountain air on your face.

First train: 5am from Tirano/St.Moritz/Chur

Last train: 7pm from Tirano/St.Moritz/Chur

Frequency: Every hour, 21 trains per day

Bernina Express

Children aged 6 and under can travel free of charge without entitlement to their own seat.

Reserved seats will be attributed automatically based on availability.

Standard-sized luggage is permitted, but space is limited. Travel light for a comfortable experience.

Seat reservation for the Bernina Express Bus is mandatory and not included.

The ticket has a 24-hour validity from the beginning of the departure date.

Bernina Red Train

Seat reservations are not required for the Bernina regular train ride, so you can board with ease.

Overhead racks and designated luggage spaces are available to store your baggage securely.

Food is not provided on board, but you are welcome to bring your own food.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
