The Bernina Express provides easy boarding and arrival options at Chur, Tirano, and St. Moritz, each a gateway to breathtaking Alpine landscapes. Chur, Switzerland’s oldest town, invites you to explore its winding streets and rich history. Tirano charms with its Italian flair and stunning views of the Alps, while St. Moritz dazzles as a luxury resort town surrounded by pristine lakes and towering peaks.

- Train departure: 8:17am on Train 951, 1:28pm on Train 955 (from May 15 to Oct 26, 2025)

From Tirano to Chur

St. Moritz to Tirano

What to bring

Please make sure you have the necessary documents with you for crossing the border into Italy/Switzerland.

What's not allowed

Children under the age of 12 cannot travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

Passengers can pre-order boarding and alighting assistance from the SBB Call Center Handicap by calling 0800 007 102 or sending an email to mobil@sbb.ch.

There are special seats available on the Bernina Express for passengers with impaired mobility who cannot leave their wheelchair. These seats must be booked by calling +41 81 288 65 65 or sending an e-mail to railservice@rhb.ch.

Additional information

Children aged 6 and under can travel free of charge without entitlement to their own seat.

Reserved seats will be attributed automatically based on availability.

Standard-sized luggage is permitted, but space is limited. Travel light for a comfortable experience.

Seat reservation for Bernina Express Bus is mandatory and not included.

The ticket has a 24-hour validity from the beginning of the departure date.
