We had a really cool trip today with the catamaran. The boat was comfortable and the crew was really nice. They also provided us with lots of information regarding the animals. We where lucky enough to spot two spermwhales and dozens of dolphins. It was an amazing day, thankyou so much!

Great tour! We saw 2 species of dolphin, sperm whales and a sea turtle. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the marine life. The boat was comfortable. Very well organized. Would recommend this tour!

5/5 — Best morning we’ve had in the Azores We did the São Miguel whale watching boat tour today and it was everything we’d hoped for and more. Our daughter was completely captivated from the moment we left the marina. We saw well over 100 Atlantic spotted dolphins — they stayed with the boat, leaping and riding the bow wave — and then two sperm whales. Watching those huge animals surface, breathe, and dive was unforgettable. Quiet, respectful, and close enough to feel the scale without ever feeling like we were crowding them. The guide and skipper were excellent. Clear, calm, and genuinely passionate. They explained what we were looking at, how they find the animals, and how to watch without disturbing them. The whole trip felt professional and well run, not rushed. If you’re in São Miguel with kids (or without), do this. One of the best wildlife experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you

Absolutely — here’s a polished version you can paste: Such an amazing experience! We saw several dolphins swimming alongside the boat, and the highlight was seeing a whale swim right underneath us. It was incredible being that close to the wildlife in their natural environment. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip exciting and memorable. Great guide. He explained everything well. We didn't see whales which was disappointing but he told us that might be the case. We saw 2 species of dolphins and an unusual species of whale which really wasn't a whale. People rarely see them so that was exciting.

We saw so many Atlantic spotted dolphins, it was amazing to be among them ! We also saw 6 sperm whales, we were lucky ! Also, the captain Miguel and the guide were very kind and helped us a lot to spot them !

A marine biologist or wildlife guide accompanies you offshore, with waterproof suit, life vest, all fees, and insurance.

Out on the Atlantic, crew and land lookouts help locate pods, with up to 28 whale and dolphin species recorded by this operator across the seasons.

the accompanying guide and the navigator—unfortunately, I don't remember their names—were a good team.

What to bring
