Agora is more than archaeological place, it's a place where you can feel the pulse of history under your feet. Definitely we enjoy our visit in this place. And the fact that we bought the tickets from the Headout app , saved for us a lot of time because we skip the line, and that was great for us.

Très beau site à visiter, il n'y a pas de doute. Mais grosse déception : l'audio guide fonctionne uniquement avec un QR code à scanner! Alors comment fait on quand on n'a pas de téléphone... Cela était probablement indiqué dans les petites lignes des conditions que nous n'avons pas vues! C'est vraiment regrettable.

When I arrived at Athens a lot o places caught my attention, but, there was one in particular that I was so curious about it, the Ancient Agora, it's difficult to explain why, but as soon as you see it personally you will understand the feeling that I'm talking about; I did it on my last day in Athens and it was a good choice because I left the city with the feeling that was incredibly, as if it was the end of a movie that makes you want to watch the next one, super recommend it.

The information that we received was good but, there was no meeting place. We had to find the Roman Agora by ourselves. Once we located both Agora's, we were able to enjoy the audio information.

Additional information

Due to ongoing construction works, the main entrance of the Ancient Agora is temporarily closed. Please use the temporary entrance on Apostolou Pavlou Street, near Akamantos Street.

Starting April 1, 2025, admission is free for EU citizens aged 25 and under, and for non-EU citizens aged 18 and under, with a valid ID shown at the ticket booth.

Entry is permitted only during the selected time slot, with a grace period of 15 minutes before and after.
