    Getting started

    Check in at the Paradise Watersports desk at the river end of Cavill Avenue in central Surfers Paradise. After a safety briefing and basic riding instruction, your friendly host will provide a life jacket and dry bag before you set off from the jetty.

    This guided paddle sport tour offers a fresh perspective on Surfers Paradise, combining eco-friendly adventure with city and nature views. The stable, pedal-powered waterbike is easy to use and suitable for all fitness levels.

  • What to bring

    • Flip flops or sandals are highly recommended as shoes can get wet.

    What’s not allowed

    • This activity is not suitable for children under 7 years.

    • Children aged 7–15 must ride on a double waterbike with an accompanying adult (18+).

    • Riders must not exceed the weight limit of 120 kg (265 lbs) per person.

    • Additional food or drinks beyond those provided at the refreshment stop are not included.

    • Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited during the experience.

    • Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

    Accessibility

    • This experience is not wheelchair accessible.

    • Participants should have a moderate level of fitness to comfortably enjoy the ride.

    • Meet the team at the Paradise Watersports kiosk for a life jacket fitting and a safety briefing before departure.

    • The waterbikes are stable, beginner-friendly, and eco-powered with zero emissions.

    • All bikes are GPS tracked for safety.

    • The experience operates in most weather conditions; in the event of severe weather, you will be notified of any changes.

    • Please bring any necessary medications, as there are no facilities to store or refrigerate them on site.
