Getting started

Meet your guide at Exit 5 of Ximen MRT Station in Taipei at 8:15 AM. Look for the guide holding a red flag marked "R Day Tour." The tour departs at approximately 8:30 AM and returns to Exit 5 of Ximen Station at around 5:30 PM.

What to expect

Yehliu Geopark: Walk along the dramatic coastline and discover geological formations shaped by wave erosion, rock weathering, and crustal movements. See distinctive sea caves, mushroom rocks, tofu rocks, candle-shaped rocks, Queen's Head, and Fairy Shoe. Yehliu admission is not included in this tour.

Jiufen Old Street: Explore the atmospheric old town, once associated with Taiwan's gold-mining boom. Wander through narrow lanes filled with traditional snack shops and tea houses, browse local stores, and enjoy mountain and coastal scenery.

Shifen Waterfall: Visit the scenic waterfall, known for its approximately 20-meter drop and 40-meter width. Surrounded by rock formations and greenery, the waterfall is especially atmospheric when sunlight creates rainbows in the mist.

Shifen Old Street: Stroll along the historic Pingxi Railway line, where railway tracks run directly alongside the old street. Browse local snack shops and sky-lantern stores, or purchase a lantern experience separately and make a wish.

Bilingual guided experience: Travel with a Chinese-English bilingual guide who provides commentary throughout the journey. Audio guide equipment is also provided. The tour uses mixed-language guiding rather than guaranteeing an exclusively English- or Chinese-speaking group.

Flexible itinerary: The order and duration of stops may be adjusted according to daily visitor flow, traffic, weather, or other operational conditions. Follow the guide's arrangements on the day.
