Excellent guide Mark made the experience for me. Brought Shakespeare to life by setting it in the context of London on the 1600's Two points to make Your site indicates the wrong meeting point at the foot of the steps. The booking indicates two hours whereas it is one hour Minor points for me as Mark did such a good job

Lots of fascinating details! It was interesting to hear how the theatre was rebuild in detail and where obligatory alterations were (such as railings). Also vivid descriptions of how plays were performed. Missed the very interesting bit of how after such a long time the Globe was rebuild without buildingplans on the basis of an (accidentally recovered) drawing from a Dutch student. Host was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Seeing a live rehearsal as you take the tour really brings it to life. The guide was very good and interesting and knew when to let us observe the rehearsal and when to start again. It was a very insightful and fascinating visit.
