Begin your visit at the Puerto del Leon (Lion's Gate), the main entrance to the palace, where staff will check your ticket and ID. You can start your journey through the palace and gardens at your reserved time after a brief security screening.

This means you get to walk the very corridors and rooms that Spanish royalty still frequents. Notably, this historic complex was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
