Visiting Quinta da Regaleira was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip to Portugal. From the moment I stepped inside, it felt like entering a world where history, mystery, and imagination come together perfectly. Every corner of the estate tells a story—hidden tunnels, symbolic architecture, lush gardens, and the iconic Initiation Well that truly takes your breath away. The experience feels both timeless and surreal, as if the estate was designed to be explored rather than simply visited. It’s the kind of place that sparks curiosity at every turn and leaves you in awe long after you’ve walked out the gates.

Portugal never dissapoints and Sintra was no different! Just a 40 minute train ride from Lisbon, these beautiful sights were just breathtaking. I've never been so immersed in beauty, the Castle of the Moors and Quinta da Regaleira were beyond beautiful. You need to devote 2-3 hours to walking each because there's so much to take in. We even went on a rainy day and it was still just stunning, we were encapsulated in a cloud at one point which was really cool too. Highly recommend both places and Sintra in general!

Oh my, what a magical place to visit. I think I took aroubd 400photos during our visut. The Initiation Well was a real treat - it was stunning and I must say I was relieved to not have to climb the stairs to exit. We visited on a warm, sunny Winter day and the gardens were beautiful - we enjoyed the seperate gardens and stairways and the views are sublime. The Palace and Chalel were magical. We spent aroubd 4 hours and loved every moment.

The gardens were a maze in the best possible way. I kept turning corners and finding towers, hidden tunnels, and moss-covered stone that looked like it had been there forever. But the moment that truly made my day was standing at the edge of the Initiation Well. Looking down into that spiral felt surreal — like staring into another world. As I walked down its winding steps, the air grew cooler and quieter, and for a few minutes it felt like time itself had paused just for me. What stayed with me most wasn’t just the architecture or the scenery — it was the feeling of curiosity and wonder that never left. Quinta da Regaleira isn’t just a landmark you visit; it’s an experience you wander through, piece by piece, until you realize you’ve been smiling the entire time.

Today was my birthday and I wanted to feel like I was in a fairy tale. And so it was. Access was fast, the Fountain of Initiation charged me with a special energy, the gardens and the palace impressed me! First of all, I felt that spring is here and that warmed my soul. I felt that every step I took revealed a story and I had a successful birthday! I was impressed by the place! ❤️
