I really enjoyed visiting Dolmabahçe Palace because it feels completely different from the other historical sites in Istanbul. The combination of Ottoman history and European-inspired architecture makes the palace incredibly impressive. I especially enjoyed seeing the grand halls, enormous chandeliers, detailed decorations, and the views of the Bosphorus. Walking through the palace gave me a much better sense of how the Ottoman court lived during its later years, and seeing all of these details in person made the visit feel much more meaningful than simply reading about its history.

Es war einfach alles perfekt! Besonders gut gefallen haben mir das leckere Essen, die wunderschönen Sehenswürdigkeiten und die angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Personal war extrem nett und aufmerksam. Die Live-Musik und die kulturelle Show haben für eine wunderschöne und besondere Stimmung gesorgt. Insgesamt war die gesamte Fahrt sehr angenehm und entspannt , wir haben die Zeit auf dem Wasser wirklich sehr genossen.

Interesting historical place, exterior and interiors are fascinating. A little crowded, which is absolutely normal for such place. I strongly recommend to visit this palace with 'skip-the-line' tickets from Headout :)

Бронировали посещение музея. Процесс бронирования прошел быстро, но потом возникли проблемы из за того что в присланном подтверждении не отображался q-код и мы не смогли пройти во дворец. Решали вопрос через сервисный центр дворца. Все прошло хорошо, но конечно требуется знание языка чтоб объяснить проблему

Visit on a weekday morning, ideally near the 9am opening, for a quieter experience.

The main areas (Selamlık, Harem, and gardens) typically take 1 to 2 hours to explore. If you want to explore additional exhibits or take a break, consider setting aside extra time.

Take a break at the on-site café overlooking the Bosphorus, or stop by the gift shop for keepsakes.

Step out onto the balcony at the rear of Muayede Hall and take in panoramic views of the Bosphorus and Kabataş.

The best months to sail are April to early June and September to early November, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are lighter.

Afternoon cruises, especially between 3pm and 6pm, tend to be busier in the summer months. Try to board between 10am and 1pm for a calmer experience.

Arrive 10 to 15 minutes earlier at the pier to grab a seat at the back—perfect for uninterrupted photos and sea views.

Vegetarian, pescetarian, and halal meal options are available—just let the staff know in advance.

Sit on the right-hand side when sailing toward Asia, and switch to the left when returning toward Europe to get the best shoreline views.
