I twisted my knee on the way to this excursion making me late. I almost didn't even try to go, but I thought... at least I can do the Heineken Experience. Well it was FABULOUS! Sepp and Frost checked me in, gave me ice for my knee and Sepp escorted me through on a wheelchair. I met Mia, Violeta and Jakub as well who were amazing people. Unfailingly kind is an understatement. "Proust!!!!" To the Heineken family for their legacy of fantastic beer but also for their people. They are amazing!

Pair the vibrant pulse of Amsterdam’s brewing history with a tranquil perspective of its historic waterways on a day that balances interactive fun with relaxing sightseeing.

Getting started

Most travellers begin at the Heineken Experience in the De Pijp district. After a brief ticket validation and ID check at the entrance, you will enter the self-guided circuit. The canal cruise departure point is located just a 400-meter walk from the brewery exit; simply present your digital voucher at the dock to board the next available boat.

What to expect

Heineken Experience

Step into a multi-sensory world where the original 19th-century brewery has been transformed into an interactive playground. You’ll move from the heat of the historic brewhouse to high-tech bars, ending with a social tasting session.

Features:

Historic brewhouse: Walk among the original copper tanks where the first batches of Heineken were brewed over 150 years ago.

4D 'Brew Your Ride': Experience a sensory simulation of the brewing and bottling process from the perspective of a beer bottle.

The tasting session: Join a brand ambassador for a mini-masterclass on the "Star" pouring technique and the science of the perfect head.

The Best '04 Bar: Conclude your tour in the social hub of the brewery with one chilled Heineken included in your ticket.

Amsterdam canal cruise

Trade the city's busy streets for the tranquillity of its UNESCO-protected waterways. As you glide through the Herengracht and Prinsengracht, you’ll see Amsterdam’s famous leaning houses from the best possible vantage point.

Features:

GPS audio guide: Listen to stories of the Dutch Golden Age and the engineering of the canal belt, available in 19 different languages.

Panoramic glass roof: Enjoy unobstructed views of the city's 17th-century architecture and historic stone bridges regardless of the weather.

Historic landmarks: Sail past the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk, discovering the history of the merchant families who built the city.
